Luther had not been present for the first round of gifts. He was, quite honestly, late. The boy felt little emotion about the matter if anything at all. Very few were worthy of the scant feelings he possessed. He would think something was wrong with him, but... there was simply no room for him to obsess over his inadequacies. The boy knew he was young, and there would be time to grow and, hopefully, flesh out his weak areas.
So, he approached and looked to his mother with a banner hanging over her back. She looked every bit the queen she wanted to be, and he smiled. The boy then wandered toward some of the other Dragon's Throat children, looking at them with cold but curious yellow eyes as the turtle said something which rhymed. Perhaps he wasn't too late to get something from this tree... that was oddly decorated...
Was that a severed head?
And... a dead bird?
Luther furrowed his brows and looked around. What kind of party was this anyway? People were saying 'Magic Day', but he saw death. He wasn't disturbed or bothered, just confused. He leaned over toward another foal and cleared his throat a little. "Is uhhh... the tree supposed to be... bloody?" he asked curiously, brows furrowed.
