She hadn't received an actual gift from the turtle, but that was okay with the girl. No she was still filled with a sense of belonging, the feeling of being apart of something bigger than herself. Watching others being delighted with their gifts brought a smile to her chops all the same. The children were each delighted by their gifts and even the adults were filled with the cheer. The turtle had done his job, he'd brought joy, love and good memories to those who had gathered and decorated the tree. Speaking of which, the tree suddenly began to glow, lighting up the world around it. Aelin laughed and moved closer to get a better look. Her dreamcatcher soaked up the light, it's outline was dark against the tree. Taking a few steps back to allow any youngsters closer to the tree, she continued to watch, her excitement growing as she waited to see if more gifts were going to be given. Others seemed to thinking along the same lines as her, they drew closer their eyes trained on the tree before them. She copied them, waiting to see what miracle would be preformed next. There is no such thing as reality. There is just you and me.
