Isopia
Isopia listened to what the older mare had to say. As she did so, something inside of herself began to shift and change. She felt a softening towards Alysanne - perhaps because of her open and easy honesty. That was something that, with regards to her history and those she was related to, was in short supply. It did not come as a surprise to Isopia that Kahlua took onto her own shoulders the responsibility and ramifications of the invasions, but that she had returned? Normal people would likely have squirmed, cried, demanded answers or perhaps trundled off like a petulant child. Isopia on the other hand merely opened her mouth as if to say something, and then closed it again. As she stood, silent and passive, her magic took hold of her and greenery began to creep up her limbs, rooting her to the spot. Or perhaps reminding her of her place. "I didn't know." She said after a moment, golden eyes unreadable, and yet unmistakably sad. It was as if Isopia felt sad, but didn't really understand it. She didn't long for Kahlua, didn't think that the mare precisely owed her anything, and yet to know that she had returned to Helovia and hadn't tried to seek her out? That seemed ... dissonant with her soul, somehow. Sadness was uncomfortable. "So no, I did not see her. I take it that she did not stay?" The thought that Kahlua had come and gone without saying anything was one thing. That she could still be here somewhere was much harder to bear. |
