Saoirse watches from the sidelines. Given up on the sticks, as the three other pegasi are hit with a revelation. It’s foreign to the boy. The idea of siblings and fathers; he assumes every colt and filly was a friend of his from the Throat. But perhaps blood is thicker, still?

He cocks his head to the side as Iskra catches his eyes. And the boy is left to mull over the boy's words with a quiet sigh, “Oh…”

Saoirse wonders if his father is dead as well. That would explain mother’s sadness. Her reclusive nature, and her secrets… A hopeful, incongruent thought rises – wondering if he too is of the Wildfire that they mention.

But all of these colts have been told of the stallion’s prowess, and are well aware of their physical connection to their fathers. Mother has never uttered a word about ‘father’, and ‘sire’, or ‘siblings’.

Finding not much use to the trio ahead of him, the boy scuttles along to find bones to collect on his own. Forlorn that he has sentenced himself to go about the task himself. He’d rather push ahead nonetheless, then feel the awkwardness of standing ajar to the siblings.

Maybe they’d play with him another day.

Perhaps he would be surprised, and he’d bump into them again.

With a quiet hum, he disappeared into the surrounding bushes.
