I had a dream about a burning house. You were stuck inside, I couldn't get you out I lay beside you and pulled you close. And the two of us went up in smoke Ever curious and always up for any opportunity that would enable him to learn more about this world he had been born into, Thèo was out exploring. He'd never really come this far north before, mostly because during the harsher seasons, the temperature here was so very different from the Throat as to seem like it belonged to a different world entirely. But now that Birdsong had arrived and the briskness of the air had dimmed somewhat, the sundrenched child decided it was time for him to pursue the lands farther up from his sunny island home. And so he flew. And flew. And flew. It was nighttime by the time he arrived beneath the aurora skies, and yet despite the darkness that descended all around him, a faint pillar of light still cascaded from some unseen place in the heavens, to gently coat him in a sheen of sun-sparkle. It was much dimmer at night of course, but always that light was present. Thèo's bright green eyes looked around, unsure of what to make of this still-nearly frozen area. He was about to call out, to see if anyone was around to give him some idea of what this place was (or why anyone would bother coming here), when he saw the grisly figure of the Yeti in the distance. Undaunted (for despite the Yeti's fearsome features, Thèo had had a relatively peaceful upbringing thus far, and had not yet learned a healthy fear of large and scary looking animals), he trotted towards the creature, golden horns pointed towards the skies, and a bright smile on his youthful face. "Hallo."Thèo greeted, his face upturned and drenched in light like some pale cherub. "You must be the reason why people come here!" He observed, looking over his shoulder at the vast expanses of nothingness, shrugging, and turning back with a smile that was anything but timid. Thèo would like a rougarou! One prior refusal. |
