It had taken two years of travel to finally escape her past. Coming back here was threatening to bring it all back. Pushing the darker memories away she instead became distracted by the large shadow crossing over the snows. Throwing her head back she sees the outline of a Pegasus, the form large, strong and capable. Also very focused on something that she could not see but she was most definitely now interested.
Without another thought she set off after the shadow, trailing behind unable to keep up with his speed and she lost sight of him for a moment. Then finally figures emerged from the distance and Ráeru headed directly towards those gathered.
There seemed to be a very distressed being indeed. She was not someone that was particularly in tune with her own feelings, let alone other. Yet this creature, this beast, was clearing upset about something. The curious crowd had been what initially grabbed her attention but now it what this strange being that kept her there. Both his appearance and clear emotional turmoil was fascinating her. Also as a nurse it might be her duty to attend to the emotional needs of others rather than the the physical ones. Still, the pale mare didn't imagine that she'd be partially good at it.
Her eyes where drawn up to the egg that he had resting atop his head. While she wasn't an expect on unhatched creatures she was reasonably sure that if it fell off of his head before the creature was fully grown, it could result in the unhatched creature's death. Worry stirred in her gut. Wanting the egg to be removed from his head and to a more secure position become her goal. The rope made of hairs was wrapped around her neck and was coiled upon her shoulders. If she needed to make a sling in order to carry the egg herself she'd be able too. Of course, she clearly wasn't the only one concerned for the well being of the egg, those who had gathered were also shooting concealed looks towards the shell.
Additionally the yeti was a fearsome creature. He towered over most gathered, her included and was covered in bristly, shaggy white fur that was stained with blood. He (she?) was an ape-like creature and she wasn't sure she was very keen on animals that could walk on only two legs. Massive paws boasted formidable claws that could rip them open with ease. His two twisted and misshapen horns that curved up from his forehead where most unlike her own elegant glass horn. It was between these ugly horns that the egg was being supported, resting and appearing relatively well balanced. Those she was still nervous about the creature's safety. Underneath the egg his dangerous jaws full of jagged teeth threatened to consume the egg with just a few quick bites. Though she assumed if he was interested in eating the egg, he would have done so already.
So what game was the creature going to play with them? She had attended a meeting like this before where they had all attempted to save an egg. This time, she guessed, would be no different. Though she also knew that with so many gathered the odds of the egg getting out of the situation safely was large.
So she stood and waited in her usual silent manner as the northern lights began to dance across the sky. The lights of her childhood and lost innocence, the lights that were strong enough to illuminate the snow around her hooves. Strong enough to decorate her pale coat in an aura of greens and blues.
