The shit really did hit the fan.

Hard.

The only blessing, however, is that Bella is too young to fully understand what happened and why. Sometime shortly after her birth her mother wound up promoted to the lofty position of Sultana, by a God. The circumstances of that are entirely unknown to her as she had been safely tucked aside and napping during that entire mess. What she doesn't know is that the Sultan died and that he was beloved by so much of the herd that his death left them divided. What she doesn't know is that some blamed her mother for his death. None of that matters when the tension is so palpable that even she feels it. So many seemed so sad and so conflicted that Bella didn't know what to do. Her parents did dote on her; really, how could they not? It isn't long before a single, quiet act left her heart ripped in two: she watched her mother leave, disappearing into the water surrounding the Throat.

That was the day her life truly changed and she has yet to determine if it is for better... or worse.

She isn't quite sure how she's made it this far or how to get back home to the warm sands of the Throat but her legs are quite sore - and she's yet to learn to fly - so there's little she can do but find somewhere safe to rest. Almost as if in a daze, the girl pushes further north - more lost than she's ever been - until the green is covered in a cold whiteness that leaves her shivering. Green eyes gaze out over the expanse and very quickly land on a gathering group of horses. They were all different sizes and ages, and even in her youth she understands that there is safety in numbers. Exhausted as she is, the girl trudges towards the group, showing no signs of reluctance until she peers up and past the others. Only then does her gaze land on the large beast so clearly the center of their focus and her eyes widen in surprise, halting her steps almost instantly. "W-w-w-what's going on?" she stammers, her voice so small and insignificant amongst the crowd.

Bella swallows hard against the tears, clenches her wings hard against her sides, and manages to will her slender, tired legs to move. She manages to tear her green gaze from the beast long enough to find a friendly-looking face in the crowd and with a quickness that might have been otherwise impossible given her particular state, she scurries to the black winged mare's side (Lyanna). Unabashedly, Bella stands as close as she can beside her and finds some comfort in the mare's presence. "What is that?" she asks quietly as her eyes and attention return to the large creature. Her attention is so trained on the yeti that the girl doesn't even notice the dancing northern lights.
