The seahorse stares as Kisamoa becomes Kaos.
Some strange, sickening feeling tears into her breast. It is like a wound, but hotter and deeper. But the pebbled skin there—it is is intact. Whole. So unlike the feeling that splinters through her chest, gut, and mind.
A strange sound comes from the Akvian. Like a keen, but lower. It is a sound meant to be heard beneath the waves, so above water it sounds… alien; a deep cry to fill in the gaps between the kaos.
Overlarge eyes stare, unblinking, asKisamoa Kaos disappears into the nether. Another god, another corruption, another betrayal to shake mortal through their interim bones.
Bones that were now being used against them. A monster, sanctimoniously dubbed ’Fido’ by a foul-mouthed mare. Aquila stood, webbed hooves in the boggy soil, for a few moments longer as other attacked, arranged, fled
And then her own scream entered the fray, an unearthly sound meant for oceanic battles. And she charged, thoughtlessly throwing herself at the bone monster, bladed horn slashing and sharp teeth snapping. Her barbed tail whipped wildly.
And a pained wound in her chest sluggishly bled out all the hope in her soul.
