The chaos around him was deafening, and all Byron could do was bleat and sob. He'd never been faced with something quite like this, suddenly Kisamoa was not Kisamoa anymore but a dangerous monster who summoned a monster to fight for him. His mind can't comprehend the depths and layers the betrayal has sent through the gathered masses, but his body knows when it's in dangerous. He see's the jagged teeth, and he certainly saw the grey unicorn be snatched up in the jaws of the beast like some chew toy.

All of it sends him into a fresh wave of tears as he trembled from his place in the marsh grasses. Magic shrieked through the air, voices screamed and hollered. Telling them to run, telling them to fight and all he wanted to do was curl up small and hope it went away. Odd coloured eyes snapped shut as his ears pressed back into his flaxen hair.

They only opened when they heard his ma's voice, aimed toward his older sister. Telling her to find him, and their sister and go. Part of him wanted to run out and embrace her, hide beneath her wings where she would tell him it'd be okay. There would be none of that, he spied her take to the air and it was then he leapt out and bounded toward Verro. Tears stained his splashed face as sobs wracked through his small frame. "W-why did he lie?" He whispered, as he all but threw himself under his sister's flaming wing. A strange gold mare is there, when he dares to look away from Verro, urging her to move along with another.

The golden lady doesn't need to tell him twice, his body pushed against Verro's until the girl began to move, all the while he hid beneath her wing. He had to be brave right? He tried to be brave as each step was shakier than the last and his breaths came as ragged sobs. They'd get out of here and he'd hide with his sister until their ma told them the world was okay again.
