"Where brilliance is good and madness is better..."
Helovia Info
Helovia opened in February 2012! We are an active fantasy equine RPG
Where once the world narrowed into naught but gray dust and desolation, the gods called for life. Wielding the elements of fire and light, dark and wind, earth and water, spark and time, they have created Helovia. The realm is set within the mythical globe of Loorien, a planet rich with all variety of creatures and blessed with all manner of magic. Originally populated by nomadic, tribal characters, they've since grown into massive empires saturated with culture and history. Separated into four distinct segments of Helovia, called "The Regions," each band of horse strong enough and capable enough, took up the power and responsibility of leadership. Unicorns, old, wise and mysterious, took to the north, hidden in forests of mists and shadows and rarely making themselves known beyond their cliffs of the World's Edge. Equines, vast, organized and militaristic, split into two, one group went north to the Windtossed Foothills and the other group went south to the Dragon's Throat. Pegasus remained nomadic, making their homes in various parts of The Wilds in a migratory manner. For many generations, the land was peaceful and calm, but peace was never the way of the gods. With a clash of argument, war and bloodshed massacred Helovia, and in the aftermath, the realm was eerily quiet. Now, as newcomers sweep into this land, they are met with the lingering bitterness of the gods and the struggle to reclaim what was lost. Nothing remains safe or certain while sorcerers and soldiers alike brood and bide their time for revenge, honor and glory.

ORANGEMOON cools off the lands with a a viscious force. Colder than normal, a sign of things to come during Frostfall, Helovia is bathed in a rich tropical lushness - albiet a cold one. The coastlines of the Dragon's Throat are pelted constantly by tidal waves, and the desert climate is humid but chilly. Ice begins to form early in the Aurora Basin leaving the winding trails slick and dangerous. The mists of the World's Edge coat everything in a glistening crystalline shine which encourages mould to grow everywhere. The Spectral Marsh is the only area which remains fertile, blissfully temperature and lush.

WEAVER, Corporal of the Aurora Basin, is a relatively recent addition to Helovia and has taken it by storm. Branded with the seal of Death on her chest, intrigue and interest follow both her past and present. Though she is assuredly beautiful, her sometimes sharp personality reveals that there is more to this uni-peg hybrid than meets the eye. Proving herself able on the battlefield in the Basin’s warrior ranks, we can’t wait to see her test her mettle against the looming Kaos happenings! Congratulations!

Dark feathered legs moved the young stallion at an easy trot on his way North. He couldn't remember the last time he had been to this part of the world. Scarlet and Cobalt eyes gazed over the blood red foliage curiously. The creepy woods had always made him think about the world it had actually come from. He imagined forests like this in several different colors with creatures that matched them perfectly. Creatures slinking through the ruby forest, only their outlines giving them away. He thought of being hunted by an unseen predator and shivered.
Then he shifted to the thoughts of the horses that had lived there. Beautiful and strange horses with wings and horns sprouting from abnormal places. Of course he didn't look extremely normal himself, but he made them out to look like beautiful and terrifying creatures. He smiled as he wondered lost in the fantasies playing in his head.
His legs had a mind of their and took him right to the bloody waterfall. He snapped out of his mind when his legs finally stopped moving. Skull marked head jerked around trying to gather his bearings. Calming once more he gazed down into the pool as spray coated his body. Water droplets shimmered on his light colored coat as a warm Birdsong breeze lifted his thick locks. A pleasant smile eased it's way onto his features as he turned to graze.
As his lips pulled up tender red grass his eyes fell on a tall clump of grass. Smacking his lips together the stallion swayed closer eating as he went. Mouth open teeth primed he reached down to rip it up by the roots. His teeth clacked shut on something hard and round. He jerked back shaking his head as pain rippled up through his jaw. "Son of a bitch...." He grumbled loudly as he used his massive hoof to move the grass aside to find the offending object.
To his surprise it wasn't just an average rock that had tried to break his teeth, but a diamond. Carefully he flattened the grass around the shiny thing before nosing the shinny object. A surprised snort left him as the thing moves back. It takes him a moment to realize it isn't really a diamond, but an egg. Excitement fills his chest as he watches the tiny thing move around. There wasn't a tree nearby, so he didn't think this was a normal egg. He leaned in closer watching the egg rock and twitch.
After a couple moments of silent encouragement a snow white talon burst through the shell. He smiled and lowered his head scarlet eye peering into the hole. To his surprise a matching eye was staring back at him. He smiled and spoke warmly, "You can do it, come on out." He pulled back slightly to give the creature inside room. A screech pierced the warm noon day air a dark blue dragon erupt from the capsule. He gasped as he felt hunger and a strange pride he had never felt before rush through his mind.
The pair stared at each other for a moment before his head dropped to the newborn dragon. "Hello, Zafír." She opened her mouth and screeched frozen mist boiling from her maw. He smiled as frost clung to his whiskers. Her horns, talons, and the claws on her wings where pearl white. The main part of her body was a dark navy blue dashed with a lighter blue, much like his own teeth markings. She reached up and grabbed a paw-full of his thick mane while her other paw reached towards his muzzle. His eyes were locked on her scarlet ones as her talons gently ran over his face.

A broad smile splits the titan's face as his dragons send him the telltale images; Astarot, a cracked shell, and a hatchling. He gives a whinny of sheer delight, of radiant pride in the fact that two of his sons have now bonded. His seed creates greatness, creates men who bond and rule.
The Indomitable arrives in the Falls in a haze of fleeing birds and flying leaves disturbed by his colossal hooves. His dragons lead the way, steering him through the forest towards his pale-faced son, and he's quick to try and press his muzzle to the young stallion's broad neck in greeting. "Congratulations, son. You didn't want to be out-done by Tyrath, did you?" The warlord gives a deep, hearty chuckle. Vadir is perched in a nearby tree, eyeballing the blue with a lazily swishing tail, whilst Vérzés clambers up Volterra's thick neck and leans through his ears to get a closer look. He is rather too large to fit now and the Indomitable squirms in discomfort as the red's large talons scrape down his face dangerously close to his eyes. Vérzés leans perilously forwards to sniff politely at the blue, and Volterra ends up with an unpleasant faceful of dragon-groin and numerous scratches from the scrabbling claws.
Trying to ignore the awkward positioning of a large dragon on his face, Volterra scrutinises his son's companion. From what he can see behind the frame of red scales, it's a fine specimen, worthy of one of his offspring. "Zafir, hm? She is beautiful." He's never seen a blue before - trust a son of his to be unique!

"Never could let me outdo you for once, could you." Came his rumbled voice, drenched in amusement. Harcos had alerted him to his father and Astarot, the red had taken to darting ahead of his bonded, pale eyes alight with the desire to explore and know. Young but already filled with bravery and fearlessness he admired, he encouraged it whole heartedly. His bonded must be as strong as he was wise, to stunt him and keep him close would only harm him in the end. He inudated his mind with flashes and silent probing questions everytime they reached a place he did not know, little pin pricks in his mind as he not so subtly tried to find the answers without Tyrath answering outloud.
Blurry images of Red, Gold and Blue had fluttered in his mind, and without thought given he had taken off at a gallop, Harcos had flown ahead, through the undergrowth with a cheerful cry, lithe red body circling twice over head before he tried to swoop low enough to extend his muzzle toward Verzes. He's fond of the Red, and Tyrath had high hopes of him forming a friendship with his Father's dragon, he'd be better for it to have such an assertive and dominant friend to guide him to the top. A wary glance is given to the Gold perched upon her lofty seat, and another chuff is uttered in her direction though as much as the small dragon hoped it would catch her attention, he doesn't hold much hope.
The hatchling returned to Tyrath after his greeting, landing gracefully on his throne of horns as his tailed wrapped posessively around the bony perch. He remains a respectable distance from Astarot and his new companion, a blue, so that they may share the moment. The tribrid has yet to see a blue in the world, that alone tells him that dragon's have not quite become common place. Good, he grumbled internally to, less competition for their's to grow strong. "Congratulations brother, she is indeed beautiful." A chirp echoed his words from his dragon's toothy maw, a small paw extended to wave at the blue to try and get her attention as the crests along his spine rippled and flared.
The bone marked man and dragon watched each other sizing the other up curiously. "I've never seen a blue dragon before, szerelmem." He grinned as her clawed paw reached out to grab a lock of his creamy hair. Hunger and love filled his mind as as her other paw reached up to rub his cheek carefully. She was special, maybe not a queen like his father's golden, but much more unique. Air rushed from his lunges melting the frost on his face. His hear soared as her wings expanded from her thin sides.
The sound of hooves drew their attention away from each other. A screeching hiss slipped from Zafir's toothy muzzle as scarlet eyes glared at the massive stallion and his two dragons. Astarot smiled at his Apa and dipped his head as a chuckle rumbled in his deep chest. He embraced the touch and offered his own before shaking his head. "Of course I couldn't!" He chuckled deeply feeling happier than he had in a very long time.
When Vérzés reaches down to sniff her Zafir lifts her head up acting like she doesn't care. If you look closely you could see her nostrils dilating drawing in the reds scent. They were the same class, but she was a female and he a lowly male. Her eyes instead switch to the golden female perched high in a tree. She calls to her a welcome to see another female. The blue is careful to be respectful, instinctual knowing the golden is of a higher class. Her attention is pulled back to the sky as yet another red male shows up.
Astarot watches his dragon greet the others and smiles at her regal nature. Scarlet and blue eyes turn back to spy his brother. "Ty! Thank you." Zafir turns to look at her bonded's brother. Her eyes roll visibly at the red but a smile flits across her maw. "Thank you too Apa. Doesn't she look strong?" He turned to beam down at the blue and she rose to her four legs her tail snaking around behind her. His skull marked head lowered and she carefully climbed onto his poll.
She cooed brightly as her throne lifted high in the air. This spot was a spot fit for a queen. Scarlet eyes flicked back to the gold, hoping she wouldn't try to take her place on her bonded. Sure his family looked strong enough, but her's was clearly the best. She opened her mouth and a thin layer of frost covered his forelock. He grinned happily as his dragon settled among his wild hair her paws full of the silky locks. "Now there wont be a doubt that we're all related." His deep laughter rolled from him like thunder.
