RÁERU
OF THE NIGHTFALL

They were making fairly good time, The Edge coming into view after only a few days of travel. When the rising forms of The Edge became the focus of her gaze, the pale dove could not help a relieved sigh. Traveling with a companion that she knew little to nothing about had been extremely uncomfortable for her. With the knowledge that it would soon be all over meaning she could return to her rank tasks made her tremendously more relaxed. The girl even managed a smile for her companion, though it was small and barely noticeable. "Home." She spoke softly, her gaze returning to her home. Ráeru wondered if either of her brothers where home, she needed to spend more time with them. The pale dove also hoped they did not worry for her, she'd not told them that she was leaving and had been gone longer than expected. Then again, it was not like she'd told them any such things before. In fact Ráeru was quite independent and still did not understand how a family dynamic worked or exactly what her role as sister was and what her brothers expected from her. The one thing she did know was that she'd never been more pleased to be apart of something, even if it was a something that she did not understand. The pale dove hoped that the mare that she was leading would eventually find a family of her own among the cliffs of The Edge. So in order to make the mare transition easier she should explain who everyone was and the roles they played within the herd.

Clearing her throat she attempted to make it clear that she was about to speak. "The World's Edge is lead by Alysanne and Tembovu." If Ráeru had known this when she'd first wondered into the cliffs she may have been able to make a better first impression. After all, slicing your ankle open and then bleeding over your queen was not a first meeting full of charm. "Our resident Moon Doctors are Tilney, Lyanna and Sacre." She didn't feel the need to mention her blood connection to Sacre, while she was proud of her brother for his recent promotion she did not wish to share such personal information with a stranger. "Roskuld oversees our protection while Mesec and Graasvoel craft our world renowned glass." Again she did not mention the fact that she had yet another brother at the head of his rank, happier for the mare to know as little about her as possible. "Lastly we have Iona and Toulouse who listen to any whispers concerning The Edge." Not being certain about what the Specters truly did she felt a vague explosion of the rank would be better than none. "You may choose a rank to join or simply be a member of the herd." It was the most she'd spoken over the past few days. Finishing her (at least by her standards) monologue she fell silent and focused on leading the mare on a safe path towards the borders of The Edge.

She knew from past jounced into her home it could be far too easy to cut yourself on a piece of glass concealed under the snow brush. "Please step only where I do." She instructed the mare, being sure to be obvious about where she placed her glass hooves. It slowed their pace slightly but this time Ráeru did not mind, she was home and soon she'd be able to pass the new comer off to the King or Queen and tonight she'd sleep beneath her favourite tree once again. Once she found a safe place to stand still the girl smiled. Tilting her head back she released a call, her somewhat girlish vocals filled the air as she summoned a leader to them. Ráeru hoped that it would be Alysanne who answered her call, she knew of the queen and would rather speak with her than their intimidating King.

Welcoming for @laire. @Alysanne
