ice cold man watches earth die, eternal winter takes its reign

Ah - their invasion had not gone entirely to plan, then. Likely someone who either meant a lot to the herd or to this one individual had been anything ranging from killed to kidnapped, with maimed somewhere in between. Mauja lowered his head a fraction, acknowledging that he'd get no further on the subject. Azzuen seemed disinclined to share more, and pushing again would just be rude. And, fortunately, it seemed that neither of them wished to be rude. The King stood still and quiet after having spoken, and to him it seemed as if the warrior gave him another look-over. Missed a detail? All of my species are kings and queens; we have natural crowns. He gave the barest hint of a smile in response to Azzuen's smirk, and nearly flinched at the cry. The rock formations seemed to act as a natural amplifier, and he hadn't been prepared for it. Mauja's ears flickered, and then he huffed, allowing himself a small smile. So full of surprises, these Pegasus.

The large wings were spread again, raised high enough as to not block the taller stallion's path, but rather inviting him into the shade. And to the oasis. Well well well... He'd not mind taking such a look around, not at all. With something akin to gratefulness on his face he slipped into the shade of Azzuen's wings, watching the feathers, their different shapes, how they were attached to the front of the wing - and he did it all by craning his head to the side, instead of back up. Didn't want to accidentally stab him in the feathers, y'know. It looked bad to do such things to your gracious escort, whether you meant them or not. Satisfied that nothing sharp would fall on him, and satisfied that he'd got a closer look at a pegasus' wings, he returned his head to its normal position. "I appreciate it too," he said, a wry little grin on his face. How could they stand living here? Or maybe it was a natural border of sort. It was hard to approach their land's heart stealthily, an army would make too much noise on these rocks. Within, Mauja sighed.

He was content to walk in silence for a while, grateful for the shadow cast despite the means that caused it. He had no qualms about using the other species, though - what was the point of their existence, if not to serve? They just weren't aware of it, or had forgotten. He'd remind them - at some point. The Sun, though, was a far more demanding problem, and one he could not control. Peering out from under Azzuen's wing, he frowned at the harsh sun. "This is his land, no? You'd think he'd be kinder upon his chosen realm, but I guess you defeating the Order didn't sit too well with him?" He lowered his gaze to Azzuen, raising one 'brow quizzically, marking it as a question. Mauja wanted to know where they stood from a religious perspective. He wanted to know if he should send his Plague here and thin their numbers a little, or if he should send it here and help safe-guard Moon followers against the Sun's scorching fury. Mauja wasn't content to sit by and let the world burn - but he had no weapons with which to destroy a God, and so he was left to do whatever he could. At the moment, it wasn't much. He just hoped it would be enough.

[ I have no idea how long they'll walk-and-talk, I sort-of leave that up to you. xP If it naturally ends up with them coming to the oasis before Boom's back and posting we'll just hold it up then? ^^ ]
angels, they fell first, but I'm still here
