Of course, if they know Yael at all, they know she’s simply not that type.
But who doesn’t like to be the hero every now and then?
A black, long shape coils sharply out of the rushing water like a harpoon, knocking the golden pegasus to one side. She cries out in surprise, off balance as a series of gilded feathers fly into air, knocked loose by the sudden, savage attack. Unfortunately for Yael, she is too close to the water to make it to a bank, and when one wing dips into the current, then a flailing leg, she is pulled into the water by gravity. Out of control and tumbling, stumbling, pushed along by a river that is deeper than she expected, it takes longer than usual for the normally stable, graceful lady to right herself. Drenched, bedraggled, and quite honestly, not sure what happens, she glances upwards as bellows of pain (or rage?) and a cry of Don’t hurt it! fly around her.
Oh for fuck’s sake. Without hesitation, the little golden mare shifts - and in her place is a silver dragon. Whirling blue eyes note the raven already in the air - she assumes it’s on their side, because a natural raven wouldn’t be caught near such danger. Enraged at the whole situation, a smoldering ire erupts into a deep roar as she launches herself out of the water, throwing water every which way. At least this form’s hindquarters are stronger and she is able to gain the altitude, her silvery-leather wings pumping furiously. If the Raven weren’t there, she’d just spit her own fireball at the black one and engage him in one-on-one combat, but she isn’t willing to risk hurting the other.
Instead, she sends a long, flaming warning into the sky before giving chase after the shifter, trumpeting a challenge it had better be prepared to answer. This feast would not come easily. Taloned hands extended, Yael dives, preparing to knock the beast out of the sky, or take it down with her, or, given the opportunity, cook the fucker in its own medicine. Hopefully the raven would just... get out of the way.
