She really didn’t need an invitation into the hot springs. She was just being a generous host and letting their hopefully new resident go first. She’s about to join him when she catches the sounds of another coming their way. Her ear pricks in the direction of the footsteps, one eye waiting for whoever was coming to join them. The form that slides into view is familiar and welcome, the black Time Mender one her favorite faces around this place. She is, however, curious how he’ll like Rhodoc.
For a moment he’s silent, and she lets the silence hang there, waiting. After a moment he finally speaks, and she turns completely to offer him her usual Cheshire grin. “Mortuus,” drawing out the name slightly in a sound that might be somewhat affectionate, “This is Rhodoc. He’s come quite a ways and needed a bath. Also a home.”
He introduces him to Rhodoc, and she looks back at the other black stallion (there was a theme of black unicorns in the Basin, seriously). “Time Mender is a fancy word for healer,” she offers, as she slips into the pool next to him. Her attention turns back to Mortuus with that grin. “Will you join us?” She asks, finding that she actually hopes he’ll join. Somehow the idea of being surrounded by Mortuus and Rhodoc is a pleasant one, and she’d like to continue her party.
“Mortuus has been ever so kind to introduce me to some of the umm…more fun….herbs in the greenhouse.” Yes, of course she brings this up. Why? Because she’s throwing a party, and who has a party without at least offering the good stuff. Even if it’s a tiny little party of two, maybe three. “There’s a number of jobs in the Basin, if that sort of thing interests you. Solider, sleuth, crafter, healer, and wise ones.” And then she falls silent, having talked their ears off enough for the moment.
