When the woman turns to talk to her, Gwyn smiles; its small, and sheepish, mostly because she certainly had not expected to earn the attention of an adult, and certainly not one so elegant. Meeting Hotaru’s pretty emerald eyes with her own pale-sky blues, the child reaches out her nose towards the white strip atop the Valkyrie’s, hesitantly attempting to do what Duir does, with Haldir, and what she’s seen other adults do, too, when meeting each other.

When she pulls her head back, she’s still wide eyed and overwhelmingly pleased with the moment. The rosy woman speaks to her like she’s a grown up, with fancy words and a pretty flourish to her tone, and Gwyn’s shy grin splits into a full blown, close lipped smile, as her warily parted ears leap forward.

And yous as well, Miss Hotaru,” still grins the filly, her diminutive tail and cotton-down poof of ebony tail hairs slowly swaying from side to side behind her with cheerful abandon. Not sure what else to say, she is glad for the arrival of Rexanna and Kiada, too, but for different reasons than most everyone else.

Laying eyes on the other appaloosa with the fire coming from her ridgeline, Gwyn’s eyes widen a second time. It’s very similar to the electrical magic currently sparking across her gold and white dappled rump, and as the pair closes the distance, the animals that flicker in the stranger’s flames change into different ones. Too little to know what their called, she does know that the second one is much, much cuter than the first one was. Silent and staring, the filly finds no time for words among all the greetings and grown up talk, and instead leans her shoulder into her daddy, and feels his voice rumble and resonate from his body into hers.

What he is talking about sounds scary. It always does, when they start talking about it. Attacks, creatures, dying, it all sounded pretty bad. Wondering what it all means, but sure she is safe, especially with her father so close by, the filly, like young children, doesn’t wonder about that particular thing long; in moments, she’s not listening anymore at all, and is instead watching Duir and Haldir, and then Marembo, and then Kiada’s fire again…

Grown up talks were boring, but boy, animals were neat!
