The ex-Thief inwardly cringed as Kiada’s reaction to the passing of Deimos crept into the air. Perhaps she should have told the girl (woman now, but forever Rexanna’s little girl) of when she visited the Tomb of the Reaper. Yet, it hadn’t come up, hadn’t crossed her mind to mention something so sad when things had honestly been going so well as of late. Her soft cyan gaze lingered on her daughter as she stepped away from the gathering, before returning her gaze to the two she once called her lord and lady, watching as Thranduil questioned Hotaru on whether or not the Edge would be a good choice.

Her eyes lingered a bit longer on the golden stag, pleased to have finally seen him again after he seemingly vanished after returning her son to her side. However, as the conversation continued and Hotaru expressed her sympathies to Rikyn, Rexanna found her gaze residing back on Hotaru – the one mare she truly considered a best friend despite their falling out. Perhaps it would be a time of fresh starts; another chance to become friends once again, without petty things like love interfering.

“Raeden? How is she?” The question was directed at her, and Rexanna offered a gentle smile toward her friend. While she didn’t know the mare well she had heard through the grapevine that she had returned to her pedestal as a Specter. “She is once again a Specter for the Edge. I’m sure she has many a story to tell you.” She added in, her smile widening slightly. She didn’t understand the intensity between Raeden and Rikyn when she arrived that cold day on the Basin’s doorstep, but she knew there was tension in the air. At least Rikyn was smart enough to not destroy Hotaru’s sister by word of mouth in front of her. However, the smile began to falter as the idea of the Edge crossed the pink woman’s mind. A sharp exhale escaped Hotaru and Rexanna paused in her breathing for mere moments as hope billowed in her chest.

“Send my thoughts to Tiamat, if you will.” Began the choice of returning to the Edge with her. Rexanna, though overly joyous, wouldn’t even dare to show such excitement in front of another herd, let alone be seen doing something so childish. Instead, she nodded, turning to Rikyn and offering a smile. “It was a pleasure Rikyn, and it was nice to meet you little one.” She added in before looking to her daughter for confirmation as Marembo waved goodbye to Duir and began the trek to where they came, though allowing themselves to travel a bit slower because of Hotaru’s state.
