Under cover of night, the black stag made his escape, the large bodied stallion having decided that his best chance lay in stealth and sneakiness rather than an outright challenge for his escape. He'd been ambushed what felt like moons ago, and already he missed the ways of an outcast. His children, had they been born yet? Tillas had been near ready to pop when he had left her, and Tainted, darling Tainted...where was she now? He thought on Avira momentarily...he'd only just met her when he'd been taken and already he felt something stirring for the dark pegasus.

His graying muzzle scented the air, his ears pricked. Elderly, he may be, but dim-witted he was not. Should his guard find him he would be brought back no doubt, or forced to challenge. He had no desire to fight, a strange urge in the elderly stallion who often sought blood rather than peace. Something had shifted in his mind, something had shifted him away from the bloodthirsty way he was into the way he was now. The stallion glanced behind him only once as he made his way to the boarders of the edge. It was time to return to the outlying lands, the ones only traversed regularly by those like himself, outcasts.

His long strides brought him to the edge of the edge, and internally he chortled at that statement. He glanced once more behind him, hoping he would not see his guard or any other member.

It was with little care that the mare watched the stallion leave her lands. The training exercise Ink had performed had been a success, and the prisoner had met no harm while he was here, nor would he meet no resistance in his escape. Golden eyes trailed after him, though she was cloaked by the illusionary magic that shielded her bodice from view. A dark smudge against the lands, her dragon was nowhere to be seen. “Begone, Abyss.” It was a gentle utterance, a whisper upon the wind, an urging for the stallion to once again find his freedom in the lands. She would not hold onto any Outcasts against their wills, and likewise she would not stop them if they found their time here reasonably enjoyable and requested to stay. Abyss had longed for freedom; and here she let him have it.
