Golden stag remains unmoving as Cera struggles through these simple tasks. Each step and movement is a hurdle that he must face alone. This seems to be an understanding between them. More than anything Cera wants to be strong, like his father. He knew that his thin build wouldn't help him, most likely never would, but such realizations wouldn't come for as few years. For now, this small struggle contented him. If he could do this on his own, then at least he had done something.

No words meet his shaky hello, only a dip of head. At first Cera is confused. He was a talker, and quite used to chattering the ear off Midas on most occasions. Such a quiet fellow, even if it was born from physical impairment, was momentarily stunning to the colt. It is such a relief to hold himself against Lynx that Cera can do no less than remain pitifully sagged against him for a few moments. Tucked away in his shoulder, emerald eyes shut against the world. Inhaling his new scent and blocking out the world for the few snatches of time that he could. Gaze upon his form is not unnoticed, but Cera is not even close to being his normal energetic self. For any other coal in his condition he seemed hyper, but this was nothing compared to how he normally was.

At last he opened tired but happy eyes to gaze at the stranger. Nameless, he begins to draw in the snow. Cera stretches his neck, reluctant to move. Content huddling against Lynx. When the picture is complete, Cera stares at it. It's clearly a cat of some sort. But it's so small! Is it a kitten? Tuning confused and searching orbs to the golden stallion's face. "K-Kitty?" Saying it as a question but with confidence. Was the stallion's name Kitty? That was strange. Tilting his head in further confusion. "Nickname?"

Though an older horse would either know the animal or realize it wasn't an exactly masculine name, Cera was innocent and delighted by such a fun name. Smiling until his eyes crinkled and he giggled tiredly. Reaching up to gently press velveteen muzzle to sunny cheek. Swishing his little tail and moving impossibly closer. "Kitty!" Declaring it with exuberance that was weakened by his exhaustion. Little hooves stamping the snow and giggling at how the name rolled off his tongue. It was such a fun word! But he soon grew tired and stopped, returning his face to the crook of Kitty's shoulder with a shudder that wracked his body and a little sniffle. Smile never leaving at the new word.
