Zamoro, walked through the green with a comfort of home. This feeling had urged him to come here of the outer areas of his herds lands. These beautiful places nature can withdraw are breathtaking. Even if this place was cold, it was of clear skies and sunny. A day Zamoro actually enjoyed himself on this day, for the sun's strong heat was felt on his body as he wandered through these meadows. Was he in a dream? Or had he been hit in the head too hard? He had never seen a place so beautiful and free as this area. It is of course hard to understand something, when you have never seen it before. Zamoro could not be amazed in peacefulness by these lands but puzzled. He was use to just tree's and dry savannas most of the time. But here in these lands, were of mountains and valleys.

"What Beautiful lands these are Indeed!" Zamoro exclaimed to himself with a pride going through his voice. He made a steady pace as he looked to the high mountains in wonder. He soon would get used to these natural beauties as of all the other Equines soon did. This would become any other normal sight, from his view as he would be visiting it often. Zamoro moved forward towards a small oak tree stranded by the near smaller forest area. It drew there like any normal tree, except for some reason, Zamoro was drawn to this one tree for some reason unknown. Then he knew why, he noticed the gray bird with a red feathery chest. A small songbird it was roosting upon the branch of the small twig like oak tree. Zamoro kept his eyes resting on it, it turned to him. Tweaking a small chime, it leaped off the branch and flew to the skies. Flying into the smaller area of forests to find its fellow songbirds.

Zamoro smiled heartily. His day just got better, though Frost Fall was not having a big effect on these lands usually. He still hated the shivering cold in the morning and night while resting. But noticing that one little songbird it was a Robin. "The Sign of Spring is here." He chuckled to himself warmingly. This was high hopes to him, for he hadn't seen a Robin since the middle of Autumn. Now he see's one meaning Spring will be coming soon. Zamoro felt a ever lasting sensation for this moment to himself. A memory he might not ever forget, for it was his first time in these valleys. He would probably always have this moment in his heart for the rest of his jolly life. It made him smile, as he listened to the chimes and chirps of the pretty songs these birds sung. It was gladly a nice time to have been, Zamoro finally turned around, and began walking towards the meadows again. Looking forward standing strong and sturdy.

The little bird which had flitted past Zamoro similarly crossed paths with Vermillion, who had an obsession with red birds. This probably had something to do with his father's strange obsession with the colour pink, and his own developing oddities. As the bird flew past, Vermillion had a strong desire to follow it. To chase it down. The last time he had done that, he had wound up in the Vein of the Gods, calling for the bird to come back. His cry however had gone unheard. Not wanting that sort of rejection again, Vermillion let the bird go down the opposite path, and carried on.

As he rounded the top of the hill, the small uniquine noticed another form, just up ahead. For a moment his heart lept, Solomon?!. But no, of course it wasn't. His lost twin was a sooty palomino, just like he was. Neither of them resembled the bay horse at all. With a sigh, Vermillion trudged on. He knew it wouldn't (couldn't) have been his brother, but he was still disappointed. He was constantly hoping that he would find Solomon, just like this: just happening upon him one day, in a clearing.

Vermillion flicked his leonine tail as he began to actually inspect the equine before him. As he neared, Vermillion bobbed his horned-head in greeting. "Hullo" He called good-naturedly. Vermillion halted a few feet away from Zamoro, looking inquisitive.

Zamoro made a light sigh climbing up a hill in the meadow. He was in joy, and merry. He wanted to run through the meadows to feel the merriness burn with in him. He really did have a great heart, he began to find a tune to hum in his vocals. As he lifted the hum to a jolly sound, climbing the green hill. He looked around with his brown eyes, noticing there was less patches of snow in the fields than when he arrived to Foothills. This time, the snow patches were thinner more smaller and less of them. He turned away from the ground around him and looked up. The sun shined bright and feeling the warm heat on his back was anything but cold.

Zamoro stood there for a moment, as he heard the footsteps of another. Turning towards the sound Zamoro noticed a smaller male walk towards him. He also noticed the horn that stood on his head, was he a unicorn then? It obviously appealed to that assumption. For the pure white color the one had, the tail of him was as a original unicorn's, and the perfectly shaped horn on his forehead shined in the sun. Zamoro already assumed he was of a pure unicorn breed. He seemed to be walking towards Zamoro, well at least he wasn't the only one enjoying their day in these beautiful valleys. The smaller unicorn walked up to him and spoke in a natural voice. "Good day, lad." Zamoro spoke in a cheerful forward voice. At least he was friendly, which is very good for Zamoro to meet someone who isn't harsh or cold.

Zamoro was also wondering what this young one had going through his head. He did seemed a little troubled over something, but he ignored it. Smiling to the Unicorn he said"I am Zamoro, what is yours?" Zamoro spoke in a kind voice. He was interested in what this Unicorn had to say, and hopefully call him a name. For calling others by their race to Zamoro was inappropriate and rude. It showed signs of a rude first impression, which Zamoro hated. So intrigued by the smaller one, he wanted to know their name and hope for the best that they would not be rude or negative towards others.

Vermillion politely looked at the older equine, flicking his leonine tail as he spoke. "I'm Vermillion" His voice was still very boyish, but ever so slowly, he was growing up. He had trekked to Helovia alone, hadn't he? And he wasn't dead yet; he was doing alright so far, at least. But for how much longer? He had aligned himself with a stern-seeming Unicorn mare and her bear cub, who promised to aid him in finding his brother but so far....Where has she gone?. Looking at Zamoro, he wondered if perhaps he knew of his brother? Did he even have a herd? Vermillion had so much to learn about Helovia.

"Do you know Solomon?" He asked Zamoro, looking hopeful. He was about to ask about Zamoro's herd..but what if he asked about Vermillion's? Was he allowed to talk about it? He wasn't so sure....he hadn't really asked many questions, he'd simply leapt at the help offered to find his twin. hmmmm.... Another thing he hadn't taken into account, was the racism of Helovia - something which Vermillion knew nothing about. How would others react to knowing he was a Uniquine? He hadn't found out, as he looked like a pure Unicorn...but Solomon didn't. Solomon was clearly a Uniquine - he was missing a horn, after all. Frowning, Vermillion wondered suddenly if it was a mistake drawing attention to his brother, if it could potential mean harm for either of them.

Zamoro watched the young one. Shifting to leaning towards his side to rest his energy. He wished to come further into a nice chat with a lad like this young unicorn. Zamoro wanted too, because he was bold enough to trot up to Zamoro. Why not have a chat as well? Zamoro wondered, he seemed a little troubled. It made Zamoro wanting to help, but he first must know. And he could obviously see the younger one was about to ask something that certainly would deal with his troubling thoughts.

Zamoro patiently waited as the lad spoke up. Introducing himself with a colorful name. Vermillion. It reminded him of the color, as the unicorn shifted a little uneasy. Zamoro looked at him, "Very nice to meet you Vermillion." Zamoro smiled to him, He was glad to know Vermillion was a nicer gentlemen like Zamoro. Unlike the more ruder ones from other lands causing so much bickering and trouble wherever they go. But Vermillion seemed more like a greater being than them. Zamoro could read from his manners and the way he talked.Vermillion than asked about someone called of Solomon. "hmm..." Zamoro was looking for something in his memory for anyone of the name Solomon. Nothing came to his mind. He had never heard, of this 'Solomon' it was new to him. But Zamoro wanted to think for a moment to try and help Vermillion a little. Finally Zamoro turned his head to Vermillion and shook his head."No sorry."

Vermillion smiled. Everyone in Helovia was so nice so far. Horses especially. He was reminded of his first encounter here, with Torasin, who proved to be incredibly polite and tentative to his needs. And here too was Zamoro, just as polite and pleasant. The unicorn Ktulu well...she was nice of course but...hard? Maybe hard was the right way to describe her.

Hmmm...no sorry

Vermilllion sighed heavily. No...He did not know his brother. He was quickly learning not to be too surprised, but an obvious sadness seemed to overwhelm him, causing his shoulders to sag, and the light to fade out of his vibrant gaze. His determination would never wane, but it seemed less and less likely all the time that he would ever find Solomon, or even find someone who had heard of him. "Well uh, thanks anyways." He replied in a small voice, looking dejected.

Suddenly, the chorus of birds that both stallions had seen previously, flitted briefly overhead. Vermillion watched with great interest, his ears pricked forward, his horn following their motions. Excitedly he looked to Zamoro, "Boy, I wish I had a companion, like one of those birds" He confided suddenly cheerful. He had once gone to the Vein of the Gods inadvertantly, after following a red cardinal. He had no idea that while there, he was meant to call the Gods to ask for a companion. All he knew was that he had seen others, Like Ktulu with companions. And if he couldn't have his brother...well, he missed that close bond.

Zamoro gave the reply, in a light apologetic tone. Trying not to seem too confused or puzzled. Finishing the sentence, he watched Vermillion. Hoping for the bests that his reply wasn't too bad of a not enough answer. But he really didn't know anything of this Solomon. He never heard of him of anywhere. Vermillion must be seeking Solomon perhaps? This question continued phrasing itself for some time in Zamoro's mind when Vermillion asked the question.

Looking to the younger unicorn Zamoro noticed the signs of being disappointing showed in his eyes. Now he seemed sad, which made Zamoro frown. He disliked seeing negative things, especially sad ones. Vermillion mumbled in a disappointing tone a thank you anyways. Zamoro knew he was upset, who was this Solomon anyways? He definitely must be searching for this guy then. Otherwise he wouldn't be asking for him. This made Zamoro's mind race with so much more questions that he would of course, never ask. A very curious one, Zamoro was he would like to be alone with these questions later and try and figure them out by himself. Instead of annoying the one he wanted to ask and help save the fellows breath. Zamoro was quite a philosopher for a Equine, and he enjoyed it too. Being the philosopher like being he always loved to think through the questions alone, so this was a good chance of newer questions he could try later in the day.

Vermillion lowered his head a little in a depression like way. Zamoro kept the saddened frown on his face, wondering. Zamoro wanted to say something to him to cheer the unicorn up. To make a positive feeling in the air, to break this saddening silence. As he was about to open his mouth for a comment, a chorus of chirping songs ranged near. Almost immediately as the sounds came in, Vermillion raised his head and with his ears perked up he looked to the chirping birds roosting in the tree's and they were flying and flustering about. The emotion in the lad's eyes changed thoughtfully from a sad tone to a excited tone. Making Zamoro lose his frown into a smile again. He repeated Vermillion's actions looking to the birds with his ears perked up. Vermillion spoke wishing to have a companion like those birds.

Yes, that would be great to have a companion of another animal wouldn't it? He had seen many with at least one other animal with them as a partner or companion. But Zamoro had never thought about one for himself, and Vermillion seemed to be very much wanting someone. "Yes, that would be something wouldn't it? I have actually never thought about having one of those birds to be a follower." Zamoro gazed at the birds flustering about, keeping a curious smile upon his face.

Vermillion nodded as Zamoro spoke, still looking at the birds with a mystified expression. "Solomon is my brother...my twin. We were separated, leaving Isilme, that was our home...I haven't seen him since. He spoke sounding rather distracted, as his attention was still on the birds. But he felt that he owed the older Stallion at least some explanation, of why he was asking about Solomon. But something about those birds...it stirred a memory in him that he couldn't quite make out...all he could see, was pink.

Vermillion, sensing that he might have been lost in his own world too long, absentmindedly kicked a rock with his cloven hoof, sending it bouncing only a few inches. "So...Are you in a herd?" He looked at the bay equine with interest. He knew so little about Helovia and who roamed here. Equines...Unicorns, Pegasi...Was there racism here too? Wrinkling his pale muzzle, he only hoped that it wouldn't turn out that they were enemies, for Vermillion was enjoying having someone to talk to.

Walk walk walk
"Talk talk talk"
Zamoro listened quietly, only intently wanting to listen to Vermillion's words as he spoke. After Vermillion finished his small words, Zamoro twitched his ear. His brother? So this was who this other equine was? Solomon, a twin of Vermillion's. He lightly grunted in a understanding towards Solomon. Trying to find his brother. Yes, that is very understandable to search for a love one. Though, someone other than Zamoro would had understood even more, for Zamoro hardly talked to his relatives or parents. He didn't have any siblings, his father left, his mother died when he was young, and the only family he remembered was his mothers sister from that herd. She seemed alright, but she never talked to his mother when alive. So Zamoro only understood of this pain for a loved one, so little. But still he knew it was saddening.

Zamoro looked to him again. Noticing his voice had wandered off, as he kept his eyes on the fluttering chirping birds."Those birds seem to catch your eye. Something troubling you?" Zamoro spoke curiously. Wondering what Vermillion was thinking to look at those birds. Finally Vermillion snapped out of what ever was stirring through his mind. The unicorn kicked a rock, hearing a small clatter of it go a few inches away from his hoof. Vermillion who felt a sudden pause spoke up again. Asking of what herd he came from to these fields. Giving Zamoro another question in his head."I am from the Windtossed Foothills, you?"

I am from the Wind Tossed Foothills Vermillion's lower lip stuck out, as he pondered this response. He hadn't heard of it...but that really wasn't so surprising - Vermillion hadn't been in Helovia very long. "I've never heard of it" Vermillion said, reiterating his thoughts on the matter. "I am part of The Grey...at least, I think I am. They said they would help me find my brother. So I guess i'm within them" He shrugged as he said this. Was there a better place for him?

No wait...Hadn't Torasin offered him a home in the Foothills? Looking at Zamoro, he decided this probably made sense. They were both horses after all. Did you have to be a horse to join? It was plausible...maybe Torasin sensed that he was a uniquine, and that's why he made the offer? "Do you know Torasin? I think he's part of the Foothills, actually. He didn't know my brother either." Vermillion flicked his leonine tail, wondering if you could tell just by looking at him, that he was a hybrid. He didn't really think so, he looked like a full-blooded Unicorn in every respect. Still..maybe it was something you could sense? Maybe. He had felt a bond with Ktulu, who was also a hybrid, yet that was probably due more to some sort of maternal relation that a youngling like himself, felt towards an older, clearly more knowledgable, mare.

He glanced at Vermillion having those curious questions tracing through his mind. Standing next to the Unicorn made him want more answers from him of the things he told Zamoro. He noticed Vermillion was pondering with himself whether he knew it or not. He than finally spoke saying he didn't know. Interesting, he was in these meadows with Zamoro even though the herds lands were just away more over in the mountain's valleys. It seemed that this young lad had never went exploring. "I am part of the Grey." Vermillion spoke than spoke a little puzzled. Hm, so he is part of that herd. Zamoro had never heard of it. The grey... No. He couldn't find any memory what so ever of this herd's name, and also he spoke that they were going to help him find his brother Solomon. Well, at least someone was caring enough to help him. Zamoro would offer as well, for the generosity he had in his heart.

Then Vermillion questioned Zamoro. This Torasin, he was part of the Foothills. But of all the equines he has met in his herd he has never seen Torasin. Another that must have helped Vermillion I suppose. Zamoro thought to himself. He than finally spoke up"No, I'm afraid I haven't met him yet." His answer was short reply. He felt as if he had nothing to quaint to say about this Torasin. "But, do you need help trying to find your brother? I would gladly help." He smiled goodly as he wanted to offer a hand for Vermillion. Seeing how troubled he was right now, and Zamoro understood his behavior very much. And gladly wanted to help him, and erase those troubles.

Vermillion smiled somewhat sadly as Zamoro offered his aid, in finding Solomon. "That's okay...I don't think...I don't think he made it from Isilme" He muzzle twitched as he tried to accept the cold reality of the situation. When they were younger, Vermillion could always feel Solomon. Some called it a twin-bond, but all he knew, was that he could sense when Solomon was happy, or frightened, or when he was very close. He hadn't felt anything from Solomon since he began making his way to Helovia. All he could think, was that his twin had perished with his parents, back in Isilme. Ever hopeful, Vermillion looked to Zamoro optimistically. "But if you ever see him...let him know i'm here." He flicked his leonine tail, nodding affirmatively. "Oh yeah, he looks just like me, except he doesn't have a horn." Vermillion had never realized that it would probably be obvious that he was a uniquine, were he to be seen with Solomon. They were identical twins, except one was hornless and one was not. The only way for that to happen, is if the twins were hybrids.

Vermillion had not yet encountered any of the racist equines or Unicorns who roamed Helovia yet, and it was quite possible that they would not know him for what he truly was, unless he did find Solomon.

He seemed saddened for Zamoro didn't know of Solomon. He had offered to help Vermillion, but as it seemed he only smiled weakly and only spoke saying his poor brother never made it from this Isilme. Zamoro could only look there sadly to Vermillion for wishing he could do more for the younger unicorn. But it seems as if Vermillion had been searching for his brother for some time, and Zamoro only wanted to aid to help. Zamoro perked his ears up slightly and turned his head, hearing the chirping sounds of a Robin. He watched it for a moment noticing the red on it's chest, as it chirped and tweeted away on a young oak tree. Zamoro smiled with a hesitation, and looked back to Vermillion. Still having the saddening tone around his face. After Vermillion spoke, Zamoro smiled gently and said in his real Nordic voice. "Don't worry my friend. There is always hope to find your brother, it will take patience and hope. Like I awaited for Warming Spring." He chuckled a little with his smile and looked toward the Robin in it's tree again. As it just looked back at Zamoro for a shortened second, and then at Vermillion. It without a second glance at them with it's black beady eyes leaped off the tree and flew off into the tree's at the edge of the valley.

Zamoro chuckled again as the Robin flew off, and looked back at Vermillion. Clearing his throat, he said "Well, I must be off. Good day my friend." He bowed his head in a farewell. And began to strut off into the meadows, and looked back to Vermillion with a smile. Then ran off heading to his herds lands deeper into the mountains.
