Phaedra new exactly how Sohalia felt - about doing her best thinking in the air, anyways. And she did have a lot to think about. At the top of her mind, was the quest that she received from the God of the Earth; she either needed to fall in love, or she needed to introduce two, who would. It was...bizarre. Why was she given that quest? It made no sense to her easily-frightened mind. That's why, she replied to herself. Maybe this was the God's way of forcing her into interacting with others..? Ugh.

As she glided along the same air current which Sohalia recently did, she pondered what it was to fall in love. She had heard once, that it was sparks and electricity - the feeling of never wanting to be without them. Of giving anything for them...but there had to be more than that her mind insisted. She felt that way around Tolio...A blush crept onto her features as she remembered him. The way she felt sparks when they touched, and the instant connection that they shared. But...they were only friends. So love just had to be something more. And whatever it was, it eluded Phae, who had never been inclined towards a friendship much less love, before meeting Tolio, her one and only friend.

Her mind had drifted about as far as she had physically, and suddenly the little mare found herself gliding over top of Sohalia, who had just come to a walk on the sandy beaches below. Phae nibbled her lip, thoughtfully. Female pegasi were the kind she trusted least. Not only were mares manipulative and judgemental, but a pegasus was the one species who she could not immediately run from in the skies. But the quest... Her mind probed. What if she's the one? For a moment, Phae contemplated leaving Sohalia be. Surely there must be some ground dwellers who were fated for each other? Then again, maybe this was all foreseen by the Earth God, and if she gave up now...you will never get what you want.

Fine.

Phaedra arched gently, rather than shooting towards the terrain as Sohalia had done. By turning her shoulder at a sharper angle, her spirals became smaller and smaller, until she was only feet above the ground. Beating her wings quickly to keep her descent steady, her back hooves gently set down first, follow by her front. Even though there was still about 10 feet between the two, Phae kept her large tawny wings outstretched, just in case. She looked the other mare over, with interest. They were so similar, physically. Other than colour of course - but they looked about the same age, and nearly the same height. Phaedra thought that maybe she was a little more athletically built, but couldn't really be sure. It meant that this mare could probably keep up with her in the skies. And that could be a problem. Carefully, Phae lowered her head in what could only be described as a canine-looking act of submission. She flicked an ear cautiously forward, watching Sohalia carefully, but saying nothing.

[OOC: Sorry. She's afraidy cat. ]
