He could never be satisfied.

Since his journey to the Grove, Crowley's focus had been almost entirely on his newfound magic abilities. It was fun, dare he say it, even if it wasn't as powerful as he wished it to be. It had started out simply enough; cursing the petty animals that lived within the Steppe. He had toyed with forcing a poor hare to walk backwards, and rendering a bird flightless, but they hadn't lasted long. It took no time at all for the unicorn to find out that, with each curse he placed, a scar was etched into his skin. Surely the size of each was dependent upon the type and length of the curse, and so he had decided only to use the magic when he deemed it absolutely fit.

But still, the stallion found himself thirsting for more. It was laughable, the petty curses he could apply. They would be more annoying to those he cast them upon rather than the lasting, harmful ones he wished to control. Not only was he interested in this, but light magic as well. He was a dark creature, that was for sure, one that liked to toy with his victims by any means rather than dirty his own hooves. Crossing what he had now with light magic opened endless possibilities to him, and he couldn't wait to obtain it, if the Gods allowed.

It was with these thoughts that the brindle had traveled from Frostbreath to the Veins of the Gods on this day. It was the very first day of Birdsong, and with that, he was certain that the God of the Sun would have returned from his banishment. Certainly there would be a long line to see him, and Crowley could only hope that the God wouldn't smite him where he stood. Coming to a halt, the stallion cast his eyes skyward, drawing in a steady breath. "God of the Sun, I request your presence," he spoke aloud, flicking his tail once before he continued. "I wish to quest for light magic on this day."

The God of the Sun has only just returned; he finds your hasty demands impudent, and a burst of flame spewing forth from the ground marks his rage. Perhaps it would be better for you to return at another time.
