Colossal plumed annexes transported the damsel through the billows of pallid nimbostratus as Adhara journeyed further from her home than ever before, much to her relief. She had spent too many years in that oppressive province. Persistently being disparaged for a chromosome that was not her choice, damned for what the Gods had made her. Female. She was exhausted from being restricted because of her sex. It was time for Adhara to demonstrate to the Gods what she was really capable of, irrespective of what was veiled beneath her leonine appendage. She had vast notions for her fresh life, inaugurating with the search for her precious sister Cassiopeia. Just the thought of her sibling struck a nerve, one that sang with a heartsick ire. Adhara ached to be reunited with her beloved sister, it had been too long since they’d be in each other’s company, and though she tried not to Adhara couldn’t help but fear the worst. As she glided nearer to the realm dubbed Helovia Adhara imagined finding Cass’s putrefying corpse and her heart sank. Please Deities let her be alive… she implored inaudibly. Though her stomach was churning with every palpitation of her wings she knew she would have the answers she sought soon.

Adhara missed Cassiopeia, this was correct; however there was also a morsel of resentment at being abandoned without warning. She would have done anything to escape Valyrn with her dearest friend. They could have made this excursion together, the way it should have been. Yet the trivial grudge Adhara held was not at the forefront of her mind, instead she was swathed in ardor of seeing her sister again. Archetypally Adhara was a composed femme, keeping a rather irrepressible and rigid façade, but it was her sister that brought her guard down. She hadn’t felt at ease for a long while, it was time she finally did. She just hoped it was that simple. Eventually the cluster of trees flanked by foothills, that she was cognizant would be the start of Helovia, came into view. Hastily she began to descend, her heart hammering vigorously in her chest, gusto flowing through her veins. The earth grew more visible as Adhara plunged towards it, she extended her lithe limbs elegantly to catch herself, and with a skillful alternation and flap of her wings she landed like a dove.

As her sable hooves burrowed into the sodden soil Adhara respired effusively. It felt bizarre to comprehend the world beneath her pillars once again; she had been airborne for quite some time and her feathered extensions beseeched amnesty. Adhara’s cascading stygian tresses adhered to her delicate stem by a layer of sweat and her tassel licked her cannons anxiously. She had no inkling on where to initiate her hunt, this region was a clandestine to her, but Adhara wasn’t about to let that daunt her. After gathering her breath she let her malachite chasms note the vicinities, inspecting them for any signs of latent menace, before taking her first strides into the labyrinth of blooming verdure and whispering.
