The small steed was strolling back into The Edge, calm and rather content with life. True, the heat was still unbearable, seemingly getting hotter by the minute, the further he walked into the herdland. But he had just spent most of his day exploring a place called ‘Frostbreath Steppe’, where the temperature had been more to his liking. He would live there, if he could; unfortunately, he had obliged himself in another direction.

Aurelius raised his head at the smell of smoke, sounds of flames and commotion soon reached him. A harsh snort emitted him, setting off into a canter to see what was going on. The scene that spread out before him was one of complete horror; the forest was going up in flame, the other herdmembers gathering quickly to try and stop its source of destruction. Eyeing the flaming figure, Aurelius figured this would be the infamous god of the sun.

Suddenly, a brown mare broke out from the line, throwing herself at the god with her head lowered and her eyes wild with pain and fury. Aury didn’t think twice, he flung himself forward too, short legs galloping the best he had learned. Lowering his head, he charged and hit his target at full throttle, right in the ribcage. Yet his aim was not the god; the brown mare yelped in surprise, tumbling to the ground, caught out of balance as he rammed into her center. In a state of shock, she laid on the grass with glazed eyes, shivering as the pain from her burns was getting to her. Aurelius helped her up, hoping he hadn’t broken her ribs. "Are you completely out of your mind? What the hell were you thinking!?" He snarled, dragging her along, out of the reach of the flaming god.

Facing the others, he had a sour expression on his rugged face. "Aren’t you a bunch of comrades? I leave this place for five minutes and shit hits the fan," he spoke, leaving the shaking Korra at a good distance from the rest. "Pull yourself together and stop trying to get yourself killed. You’re hurt," he added, noting that she had probably been caught in the flames. Turning to the god of the sun, he spoke once more, calmly this time. "Some certainly know how to make themselves noticed. You wanted our attention; mission accomplished. Now, if you’d be as kind as to explain to us the reason that you’ve turned our home into a, pardon me, goddamn bonfire? That would be swell, as the young’uns say," he spoke dryly, mismatched eyes showing the fury that lacked display on his face.
