"Is that so?" An accented voice came, and from out of the shaded trees came the brindle stallion, his eyes regarding the colorful pegasus with amusement. He had noticed few in the Basin suffering similar effects since the start of Birdsong, but none had been as humorous as this one. Silently he had stood in the distance, downwind from the pair as they exchanged their words. He had not heard everything, but he had not missed the mention of the very Plague that he called his family. Now that his cover had been blown, Crowley shifted his yellowed eyes from the Pegasus to the Unicorn, admiring briefly the chiseled horn growing from the middle of her forehead. She was who he was truly interested in. A coy grin pulled at his lips as he turned his attention entirely upon her. "Dakini, if I heard correctly? Well, miss, I must truly apologize for your unfortune, having run across this mongrel." At this, he shot the younger mare a peculiar look, before looking back to Dakini yet again. "There are few more lands than the Throat here, darling. But if you value the supremacy of your kind, then I extend an invitation to you. I don't believe Rainbow-Butt here can offer you what I can." Here, he allowed for the mares' imagination to take over. He could not, and would not exploit his precious Plague family, only hoping that Dakini would take him up on the vague offer. It was then that the brindle turned to begin his saunter back into the depths of which he had come, but not before one last, teasing look was given in Aryel's direction. "Tatty-bye, love." |
