The tip of her pinkish muzzle twitched as the grasses tickled her nose. A sensation of glee rose in her presence. The little filly was ecstatic to finally be able to roam free and explore the wonders of Helovia. His gaze trailed the little flowers that were starting to gently poke the the mushy grounds. Pricking her head high, she watched as the meadows seemed to be singing to her. The breeze slightly brushed through her mane and tail, as he eyes fulfilled the wonderment of the scenery. How lucky was she to live here? What a wonderful life she was having. Now that she was a member of the Throat, she was so thrilled to be in the same herd as Cera. Well, Cera was her best friend. He helped her to not be a shy as she used to be. He was starting to teach her the ways of life. Mystique's gaze turned behind her, as she wondered if Cera would be here soon.

Taking a relaxing sigh, she let out the wonderful scent that came from the grasses. The taste of the grass was unbelievable. So lush and perfect, it sent a tingle down her spine. The sensations traveled down her throat and into her stomach, as she was a bit hungry. Suddenly, a lady bug crawled slowly up her nostrils and onto the very tip of her nose. Looking down at it a smile came across her surpried expression. Laughing, she gently crossed her eyes to look at the funny little thing. Red with little black polka dots, what a funny creature. Lowering her head, she extended her maw as her nose gently touched a grass blade. Letting the ladybug get back to its life, it slowly crawled onto the blade.

Warmth had slowly bloomed in the beginnings of springs as Frostfall fell away. The Earth God reclaiming his title over the seasons once more. Cera had never been more thankful for the warm weather in his life. Cold weather did not agree with him at all. And as the snow receded, the itch to begin traveling again was pulling at Cera. With Mystique now accepted into the Throat, they could bypass the rule Kri had set of leaving the borders with another member. The babe couldn't be happier, enticed by the idea of exploring once again.

Following the trail Mystique had left behind her, Cera set out away from the borders heading North. Fluffy little tail flickering behind him cheerily as he trotted away from the borders. Tiny buds of green were flattened wherever his hooves touched, wings reaching out and stretching to brush trees that were stirring like hibernating bears. It wasn't hard to find Mystique, as he knew instinctively how to find others of his herd. That and she hadn't exactly been trying to hide her passing.

Snowy form appeared soon enough, muzzle lowered inquisitively. Cera nickered softly at her to announce his presence, making sure not to scare her by suddenly appearing. Prancing up to her, already smiling. he could tell today was going to be yet another adventure. "Mystique!" Feathers moving up above him in joyous greeting, circling her once before standing to face her with a bright smile.

Mystique didn't mind the cold weather, but was finally happy it was over. She really enjoyed the sudden warmth that came over her body. It was a comfortable feeling, not her always trying to find warmth. It was finally BirdSong and she was so thrilled that it was. She loved spring time, it was so beautiful. Everything started freshly new again, as she felt her life would start fresh as well. She felt this was going to be a good year, filled with fun and adventures. She loved how the flowers slowly started to bud and the grasses were nice and yummy to her taste. How the rivers unfroze, releasing the sweet bubbling sound of the river, and finally the sparkling icicles that started to defrost leaving a pure fresh smell of spring.

Her gentle maw's touch to the grass was suddenly interrupted by a low neigh. She could tell the ringing neigh from anywhere, of course, it was Cera! Sharply, she turned her gaze to meet the emerald green look that seemed to be smiling at her. "Mystique!" He shouted happily from across the meadow, making his way towards her. Her face was at Cera's as he smiled gleefully. "Cera!" She nickered happily to him. A gentle smile started to rise up her maw. Her soft muzzle suddenly rubbed against his, as the soft touch emerged to her. She loved greeting him, he was always so happy to see her, and she loved it! Finishing her nuzzle she brightly lit up as she said "Isn't it beautiful here?" Her gaze slightly turned to the beauty around her. Her eyes sparkled with excitement and she could wait to explore more with Cera.

“Do you want to explore?” Her voice sweetly asked him. Nudging his shoulder lightly she encouraged the idea for him to explore. She figured they could also play lots of fun games! What a fun day this was going to be and it was all with her best friend Cera.

Crunch of snow and ice followed the meeting of hoof and ground no longer. Melting away back into the wet earth, crawling deep into the soil to hibernate like a malicious grizzly until it would strike again. Cold tendrils still reaching up bitterly to linger as long as it could. But even this could not inconvenience the cherub on such a beautiful morn. Strikingly he had found his wings no longer the white infused bittern he normally awoke to. Instead, as if a thief had stolen his light patterns and replaced them, they were a heavenly white. Glowing crown had been discovered upon his head, though it was not by his own eyes. This had troubled him at first- was it harmful? Would it go away? Did it do anything?- but he had relaxed after that in a way only children could. If it didn't harm him, what was the use in worrying over it?

Call had roused the girl, head turning his way to greet him with bright smile drawn to in return. His own name fell from her maw in return, beckoning lengthy legs forward. Maws brushed as always upon greeting, familiarizing himself with her scent once again even if they had been apart for hardly any time. Cera was overjoyed to have a friend, especially one who not only enjoyed his adventures but could keep up with them. Cera knew he was much too energetic at times.

In fact he had not taken much time to view the meadow since Birdsong's influence. Admitting that yes it was extremely beautiful. Buttercups and various small flowers of alternating colors. Trees pushing forth curled buds of green, desperate to awaken and live after such a harsh time under the rule of frost. "Yeah..." whispering it awesomely as he gazed about. Mind couldn't conjure words to describe it in its youth, after all the colt was still going through the grueling task of learning speech through Midas. Six months of life, almost four spent in solitude, we're hard to make up. The first months were most impressionable.

Nudge of shoulder brought attention back to cheery words and crown bobbed in excited agreement. Had Mystique seen the places he had? Had she seen places he had not? The lining of the meadow would be far enough today. Spring would bring them the presents of new places to explore, with it's muddy lower levels and the better view clear of the all encompassing white. Turning little face to her with a smile. "Let's go!" Using whitened wing to trail along her side and urge her forward, face glowing both figuratively and literally under golden ring of faded glittering light. Prancing forward with a flourish, head raised high to view the world he so wished to discover. Turning and moving sideways in a diagonal direction to keep orbs on her. "There's a lake where the rivers meet?" He hadn't been there yet of course. Offering up the suggestion of a destination to her.

Mystique had never had an experience like this before. First off, this was her first time exploring outside of the Throat. So far so good, Mystique really loved the feeling of spring in a real grassy environment. It felt much different in the Throat, not as real as this. Although she was enjoying herself, Mystique was always on alert for danger. She could never forget the irony of when he parents left her, standing in the cold… all alone. How could anyone be so cruel? She couldn't even imagine doing that to someone she even hates, let alone someone she loved. Swirled in her thoughts, she snapped out of it when Cera spoke dazedly “Yeah…”. He whispered it because truly, it was one of the most beautiful things Mystique had ever seen and she was excited to explore with Cera.

"Let's go!" a smile crept up Cera's maw as he said this. Happily, Mystique caught right up to Cera's right side. Playfully, she nipped at his forelock gently tugging in it. "There's a lake where the rivers meet?" Mystique's orbs caught Cera's gaze a she gleefully smiled at the idea. "Sounds great! This will be fun Cera!." Mystique waited as she wanted to follow Cera. She wasn't too good at leading and Cera seemed to know what he was doing, so she just staying in place gazing at the view.

“You know Cera, this is so cool to be out of the Throat. I really like it here.” Her features rose as she said that. This was true because she really did enjoy these meadows even though she loved the throat as well.

Escaping the borders of the Throat had been a part of Cera's daily routine since he'd first been taken in by Midas. He simply didn't have anything to keep him there long. With no friends his age, and Lynx being the only other friend he had in the Throat, his hyperactivity had driven him to explore. Only ever returning to greet Midas home and spend time with him. He had only ever been late once- when he'd met Wanyecha. And swore never to do it again. Worrying Midas was a terrible thing to do. Not only that but it had been more than strange, not being beneath their tree to welcome him home. Now, though, a companion that fit his every way was standing beside him. Perhaps he would be occupied more with her presence.

It truly was extraordinary to see how quickly spring seized the land. The flowers bloomed almost instantly once the sun came out. Eagerly escaping the clutch of Frostfall. Drawn back to Mystique as his forelock was tugged playfully. Squealing playfully and tugging on her mane in return. Smile only brightening when she eagerly agreed to his suggestion. Cera knew how to swim but liked frolicking knee deep more than anything. The water was going to be still a little cold but the youth didn't think of that.

Mystique waited for him to lead her and he angled north, leading them forward at an ambling trot. Long legs propelled him above her, but not enough to make him feel awkward or gigantic. Giggling as she admitted to enjoying getting out of the Throat. "Yup! I go out a lot, I can show you around!" He loved his desert homeland, but his natural curiosity and endless energy was hard to contain. There was always some new place to explore after all.

Though Kri had said to always travel in pairs or groups, and Midas had enforced it with a simple look, Cera couldn't help it. And anyways they were technically following the rules. Cera was oblivious to the horrors outside of his beautiful home, and he didn't pay much thought to the dangerous souls who could wish him harm simply for being feathered, Throat oriented, Midas' son, a child...anything could set off the monsters. What monsters though? Cera had never met someone mean, so what would he know?

White wing brushed over Mystique's side as he ambled a little closer to her to nudge her ear playfully with his muzzle. The struggling grass brushed his ankles as he led her towards the conjunction of the rivers. Humming happily, faded gold mist of a halo shimmering faintly in his emerald irises.

(OOC: Thank you<33 Sorry for the long wait again! :/ I had a really busy holiday haha, but I hope you had a good holiday as well! :))

The sound of Cera's squeal made Mystique laugh. Her silvery orbs even seemed to laugh with her as well. Her gaze turned to Cera as his stunning presence stood in front of her. This was so much fun! Mystique enjoyed every second of her time spent with Cera. Cera was her very best friend and she wanted to keep it that way. Cera gently tugged back on Mystique’s mane. She gave a silvery smile to Cera in return. The grasses guided the two as the played happily together in the fields.

"Yup! I go out a lot, I can show you around!" Mystique whinnied with excitement as she followed Cera north towards where they were headed. “Yayyyy this is going to be so much fun!” She sang. The beautiful time of birdsong surrounded them as they walked. Mystique’s eyes flickered towards the slowly budding flowers, chipmunks scattering, and the sweet smell of the regenerating grasses. What a great time to go out of the Throat.

Mystique was aware of the dangers around them though, for she had lived without anyone before and could mostly out run anything. She wasn’t worried because she was with Cera, and bedsides Cera could fly if anything bad were to happen. She felt safe with Cera and knew that he would protect her and she would most certainly protect him if anything were to go wrong. Mystique knew what she was doing, and was not afraid of really anything.

The slight touch of Cera’s wing sent a tingle down her spine. The white filly, was a bit stunned because she was not expecting it, but then relaxed as the familiar scent of Cera rushed over her. She enjoyed being in Cera’s wing, she felt so comfortable and safe with him. She wished she had wings too, but she did not care too much. Cera playfully nudged into her with his soft muzzle. The soft touch brought a smile to her face once again. She nudged back into his muzzle and playfully nickered at him. Then she gently nuzzled into his shoulder as they walked side by side. She rested it only for a moment and then enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the fields.

Bell like laughter swam around his ears, turning them towards the cream colored princess at his side. Hairs were pulled between the both of them, laughter painting the air around them as they frolicked and teased each other. Grass parted before them as their legs angled towards the lake, and Cera relished the feeling of the blades sweeping up his pillars. Such an amazing, yet welcome change. Excited whinny of words makes him smile, only amping up the adrenaline and happiness that comes with their age. Cera knows these lands well, perhaps too well. The wild lands are not a wonderful place to be, but he has yet to learn that. Safety of the herd is what kept their innocence in once piece, and the patron gods of the herds protected the entirety with the cooperation of the Leaders. Leaving it perhaps wasn't the best idea, but the need to get out and stretch his legs- and wings- was enough to make Cera abandon the borders with Mystique.

His wing touched her side, caramel on frost. She jumped as if surprised but relaxed when she noticed it was him. Bumping against him in retaliation. Laughing and pulling gently on her forelock in return, the never ending game of bumping and pulling continuing as they walked and pranced along. Shimmering of sunlight on water appeared through the trees and Cera nudged Mystique, eyes flashing with playful mischief. "Race ya!" Not giving her a chance to reply as he bolted towards the lake. Wings pulled in so that they wouldn't act like a parachute and slow him down. That and the trees were a bit narrow around the lake. As he made it to the sand he curled his forelegs and pushed off, wings snapping open and catching the slight wind as he went barreling into the water with a huge splash. Laughing as he pushed himself towards the shallow end, waiting until his hooves touched sand and peering up at Mystique. Wet and dripping everywhere but joy shining out of his boyish face as he grinned at her.

[OOC: That was such a great post! I loved it :) ]

Mystique loved this ongoing game with Cera. They both frolicked and played the whole day and no one could tell them no. This was not like she had lived before. Forgotten, abandoned, not loved... but now she was a happy camper. She could look forwards to her future and forget about the horrible past. Loved by Cera and she seemed to be liked by Midas what more could she ask for? As long as one horse loved her she would be set for life. The sweet honey like tones of Cera and Mystique filled the clean air. Both laughing and playing Mystique nuzzling into his neck once more.

"Race ya!" Mystique stood tall as Cera passed her instantly. Cera did not give Mystique a chance to start, but Mystique did not need a head start because she knew she could catch up anyway. How did Cera know? Race was Mystique’s favorite word. Hadn’t Cera remembered the first time the met? They played tag and Mystique instantly caught up to Yol and Cera. It was going to be just as easy here. Mystique narrowed her eyes as the Pegasus raced forward throughout the meadows. His hooves pushed down the trickling grass leaving a trail. Mystique did not need to follow the trail, but it would be nice in case she got lost. Narrowing her silvery flecks, she pawed the ground with excitement. Lunging herself forwards she instinctively followed Cera. The perfect rhythm of her strides lengthened as she was now half caught up. Breathing heavily her muscles ached for more as they both ran. Letting herself actually run, she leapt forwards with boundless energy. Mystique could see the bubbling river not far ahead and Cera was about to step on the sand! She was only a few lengths behind him now, but Cera had clearly won as he stepped on the grainy sands. The trickles of water danced around as his hooves met the shore. Not soaking wet, he stood there looking at Mystique. Grinning at him, she went faster and faster until her hooves also met the sands. Her features were now worried because she was about to run into him. She was going too fast to stop, so she reacted as quickly as she could. Letting out a scream she tried to stop, but she knew there was no point. She bounced off of her hooves as hard as she could leaping directly over Cera. Landing hard into the water, she splashed hard as the water fell over her. Her body went under and she stay still for a few moments trying to regain her balance. Not long after she arose laughing soaking wet.

It seemed that two lonely souls had come together in a friendship that Cera suspected would stand strong throughout their lives. Hoping so, at least. Cera simply had so much love to offer, and he ended up constantly showering people with it. Mystique returned it wholeheartedly, and the colt valued her love and friendship. Such simple pleasures, frolicking around in uncharted territory, but every moment was cherished and held tightly in his memories. This day was already worming its way into the little space Mystique had taken up.

And yes, Cera knew that in a full race Mystique would beat him by a mile. He may be impossibly tall because of his legs and have quite a longer stride, but he couldn't achieve the levels of speed she could. Her method of fleeing was over land, when his species had always dictated that flight was the best way to escape an enemy. So as they both raced for the water the cherub wasn't surprised to discover that she was gaining on him rather quickly. Even so, his hooves hit the sand first and his wings had given him a bit of an advantage in that last leap. It was like an aerial cannonball. He was in deep, far past where he could reach, but once he'd felt the sand beneath his hooves as he swam towards the shallow end Mystique was already careening his way. Seeing already what she would have to do he shrank down, wings held in tight as she forced herself up and over him. Bobbing down into the water before splashing up in a bout of laughter that he soon joined.

Playfully he swept one wing through the water, sending it towards Mystique to splash her with the frigid liquid. Laughing and struggling a little through the mud and silt at the bottom of the lake as he surged up back onto the sand. Cera was soaked but didn't mind in the least, shaking himself like a huge dog and fluffing out his wings the best he could to try and dry out the individual feathers. Grassy irises turning to Mystique, sparkling playfully.

Clear honey sounding laughter rose throughout the area. Mystique’s pinkish muzzle twitched as the icy cold water trickled down her nose. Mystique could not be happier to be with Cera, she just wished she could be with him every single day of the week. She loved playing with the caramel highlighted colt. The way his tall broadness, brought her comfort and the way his voice echoed always brought a full smile to her face. She wanted to stay friends with Cera forever, and she valued it so much that she never even wanted to disappoint him in a million years. She wanted to keep everything light and happy, with their instant bond, building stronger. She couldn’t ask for anything more from him because he pleases her no matter what.

Mystique was suddenly hit by some icy drops of water. Turning her silvery gaze towards Cera, she let a grin emerge on her face while she stayed still for just a moment. Dripping her icy, white horn into the rippling river, she flickered it up with a lot of force, slicing the water almost in half letting it travel towards Cera. Laughing fun heartedly, she jumped around from spot to spot in the river making it like she was trying to dodge his flicks. Eyeing him, she grinned like is that the best you can do? Bring it!

Mystique was not nervous because she knew that Cera would never do anything to hurt her, but she figured that he might be able to splash more water than her since he was stronger, and he had two massive wings that he could splash at once. Since mystique was a unicorn, she could not have the joy of having beautiful wings to fly. It was a bit of a disappointment, but Mystique did enjoy having a stunning horn. Taking a slight step towards Cera, she quickly brushed his muzzle gently tugging on his forelock as if she was egging him on. Shooting a slight smirk she went back to hoping around waiting for Cera to make his move.
