She followed the falling star.

The star blazed a trail through the tangled, overlapping constellations, burning in a blaze of fallen glory and stardust across a sky blacker than charred bones. The starlight flooded the landscape, frosting her pale skin as she ran, and her bright ocean eyes reflected stars. Her hoofsteps were nearly fleeting as the starlight she followed, soundless as she bounded through the shadow-entwined night, curling through the vine-draped forest trees like a blue serpent fashioned from nothing more than ice and moonlight, and eyes stolen from the seas.

Only the dried bracken stirred from her passing, and cold frost snapped and hissed underfoot. The scent of ocean-water and the cold laced the barren earth she skimmed, bounding over logs and ducking through silvery curtains of icicles and snow, the winds sweeping through her streaming flaxen hair and giving her wings.

She could hear the ocean in the distance, churning and foaming onto sand silvered by moonlight, singing to her in murmured voices sweeter than the sound of falling summer rain—cool and light in the depths of her consciousness. The thrum of her heart was strong and wild on these bitter Frostfall midnights, for she was a creature of the night and always had been, following her unpredictable compass of falling stars and burning constellations.

The smell of salt-water enveloped her senses—a cold, clear clarity she knew by heart. She ran along the sand, until even the boundary between earth and sky seemed to blur.

Creamy white and dark purple tresses hung limply against Irrydae's figure, curling lightly at the ends. The wind swirled around her, tugging her, pushing her towards something… but what? It wanted her to go somewhere- she could tell. It would pause before starting up again, light dust-like piles of snow billowing and curling around her, power clinging to her legs slightly. Large golden mirror eyes sparked with curiosity. 'Let your mind run wild, Irry, take chances.' Her mother would tell her. Her whole life was based around those small phrases her mother would always tell her- remind her. It was as if she ingrained them in her mind… irry appreciated them now, while as a little kid hearing it so often was sometimes a bother. Irrydae missed her mothers voice, her eyes that showed she did care- down deep. Her voice was becoming harder to remember, the slight harmony didn't fill her mind anymore, and Irry was grasping to it like a kid with their beloved blanket. She was fighting so hard to not forget, the cling onto the memories, she was fighting the fact she would have to let it go. Some day, some day.

A hefty tug drew the mare out of thought, the wind pushing her harder, and she picked up her slender pillars, pulling herself into a graceful trot. Dew brushed against her hooves and hocks, clinging to them and chilling her. She flicked her tail, sending the hairs in an arc before they settled again. The wind had nearly stopped- just a normal breeze now and faint scents were filling her nostrils.

Deep, dark skies. Silence. No. A tinkling laugh, hooves dancing upon the beach. Streaky, pastel colored lights floated around Irrydae as she watched her artificial northern lights. The stars above her- and on her, twinkled, as did her gold pools. She presses her sturdy hooves into the soft sand, shifting the weight on her legs and stretching out her wings, flapping them slightly and watching the swirling covers. A grin floods her face as eyes watch the colors swirl around her figure.

 Levi</style>

Silver threaded strands of mane seemed to blend in with the millions of stars that brought a faint light. Tossing his broad head, the whispering winds blew his mane towards a different side of the lit up beach- Now seeing a glowing trail that taunted him to follow. His silver gaze was draw up towards what looked like millions of fireflies that roamed the charcoal sky. Slowly he walked towards the gleaming trail, hooves danced lightly in the mushy sands. The crescent moon had a vague light that rested upon Levi’s pelt, now cascaded with different shades of white’s and silver’s. Levi had seemed to get lost in his thoughts as he carefully trudged towards the trail. Something about the shimmering trail made him want to go in it towards the other side of the beach. Who knew what he might find if he went to the other side?

Shadows of grey followed his body as Levi walked through the different rays of moonlight. His angular legs were swiftly moving as he had a sudden desire to trot. Arching his grullo neck, he flickered his tail extending then length of his dashing trot. Dancing in the moonlight, he followed the dim light towards the other side of the caramel colored beach.

Soon enough Levi would find out what lurked on the other side.

Hot breath streamed out of his nostrils creating two slight clouds. The sea roared as he slightly stepped on the sands. Trails of hoof prints led up towards the top of the beach. Levi noticed a bluish figure racing quickly down the sands. He was curious to see what this “figure” was. Slightly going into a canter, he quickened his helpless stride trying to catch up to the mysterious figure that lurked before him. His silvery flecks flickered as he pushed himself faster and faster. Silk blankets of sea washed through his hooves splattering water that trickled down his broad chest. He was close to figuring out what this mysterious object was. A golden highlighted tail and the sound of a perfect gallop rhythm surrounded the sands. His breathing was heavy as he almost now was caught up to this purple-blue horse. Racing to the left of the figure, he hooves lay closer towards the silk like liquids. The unicorn’s presence made him a bit nervous since, now realizing she was a mare, could be part of the plague. “Hello there.” He addressed her pretty look, hoping that she would not kill him “Beautiful night isn’t it?” His silvery features lit up kindly as he spoke in a honey like tone. His eyes, drawn to the color of sea's that forwards. Keeping up with her perfectly now, he heard the fluttering sound of wings. So, he thought, there are two? Pressing his hooves into the sodden sands, he gazed up at another mare that flew by. He wanted to say something to her as well, but his breath had caught up to him and he wanted to save it for the run. He looked towards the unicorn next to him, hoping that she might tell him what she was up to.

[OOC: I hope you guys don’t mind if Levi drops in? :3]
