The Innocent

"I...I like your name...Balé," her soft voice spoke hesitantly. "Do you...do you like it? Here?" She leaned into the words as she spoke them, very curious as to what his response would be. Her large ruby eyes fluttered and knotted together, hoping that he would return some comforting words. Something that meant he was going to stay.
He gathered himself together, pulled his legs completely underneath his body, no longer crouching. Standing a little straighter, but with no more confidence than before, he nodded once. It was a large, slow nod. A small grin creeped upon his face and his eyes softened.
Balé walked very slowly, but surely, to her side gave her a small but playful nudge on the shoulder.

(Thank you! I certainly like him <3 And there's an accent on the e so it's Balé, like pronounced Ballay. c: And Nayati is SO small! 8 hands? That's like a mini horse, lol. She's adorable though. How tall is she going to be full grown? Like a small pony? I feel like my writing is so inadequate. -sigh-)
