PHAEDRA

This was now the second time that the sooty palomino mare had followed Levi. The first time, was to ensure that he was alright, after a particularly nasty fall he had taken on the beach. This time however, was for an entirely different reason. Phaedra was prowling. Her head was low, each step carefully considered and planned to make the least amount of noise as possible. Her wings, healed by Tor, were now snuggly tucked next to her lithe form. Phae's emerald gaze was focused, sharp and attentive to detail. She had widened the arch she was making towards Levi, to ensure that she came up behind the mare who had joined him in the fields. Sleeping? She wondered silently as she continued her silent prowl; perfect.

As Phae neared, her heart fluttered with anticipation - she had been waiting for this day for quite some time now and here it finally was. The pegasus halted, turning her neck around behind her to see a curious looking bird, who was trying her hardest to match the silent steps of her bonded. Stella, a secretary bird, was quite crane-like in appearance. She would one day grow to be long and lean, yet she had the instincts and drive of a much more ferocious and violent bird of prey. Her wing wings were out stretched for balance, as she worked on her walking skills. Her black legs covered the ground awkwardly, as she followed silently behind Phae. Now, Stella's brilliantly coloured orangey-yellow face peered out from behind her bonded's sooty leg. Phae nodded, nosing the young chick towards the sleeping figure of Levi.

With a look of determination, Stella hoped forward, walking behind Levi. As she neared, she spread her wings leaping nimbly into the air. She couldn't have glided more than about 2 feet, before dropping onto Levi's sleeping form.

I did my best, it wasn't much.
