The GOD of the SUN

Burn the whole world down



The God of the Sun watched her peaceful smile and wondered what he had gotten himself in to. Mortals were kept at a distance for a good reason. She would die. He would not. After hundreds of years of the same cycle, something had to break. As she bowed her head to him, he nodded in return, golden eyes rather distant. He was lost in his own thoughts, wondering if any of this had been a good idea. The god could not chase away a member of his own herd, and she sought advice rather than magic.

He decided then that selfish mortals were easier to deal with, as pleasant as this exchange was. "A wise choice, I think," he replied, a small smile moving across his lips. When she started to turn away, he furrowed his brows and wondered how many more would come knocking at his door for answers he should not be giving. Then, she asked if she could return again. He should say no. "I welcome it," he returned honestly. A fool. Ever the fool.
