Myrddin couldn't help but smile at young Sin's answer. Such a…philosophical sounding answer. There were plenty who Myr had met in his long life, who were excellent at sounding like philosophers. Sophists, they were called, who were masters of rhetoric. This philosophical mumbo-jumbo has turned into sort of a theme across the continents, existentialism it was called, something Myr never had much of a taste for. It sounded a lot like simply trying to sound philosophical without saying anything at all. "The nothing is more original that the not and the negation." he recalled one of them saying*. Was that what young Sin was trying to do now? Time to found out.

To your second point, I quite agree that if there is anything at all, there must be a beginning, for to ponder infinity is a tricky thing to pin down. However, and end is not what justifies a beginning. Consider the example of borrowing; say I borrow a stone from you. In turn, Psyche borrows it from me, Chernobyl borrows it from Pysche, and finally you borrow the stone again. This could continue indefinitely, that is without end, yet it would still be prudent to ask from whom the stone was originally borrowed. Infinite regression is not an answer for anything.

Turning, to where Chernobyl's voice came from, he listened in turn to her answer.
