Hooves walked slowly through the wood. He was still young and clumsy, but being in unknown or areas he hadn’t been in a while scared him. It was odd, but the forest was calm, as if some evil had been banished from it. The almost blind grey kept walking. He looked around, trying to see if there was anything in his interest in view. A sudden rush of air blew his mane around, causing his good eye to be covered. He shook his head, and almost missed what flew by in the air. A scent roamed over his thin nostrils, filling them and making his brain take note. It was...similar, familiar. He sniffed the air again, and the scent caught. It smelled of blood, water...horns...Mandrake. He stumbled toward the scent, too excited to think about getting hurt. It was someone in his family, either his mother or brothers. Unicorns had a specific scent to him, which was interesting to him. He could tell his unicorns brothers, Evers and Emerson, and his son Kipp, apart from the others. Equines and pegasi also had different scents, but they were harder for him to seek out. He mostly went with those three anyways, so maybe that’s why he could tell. He rounded the corner, looking towards a pool. He felt a figure standing there, and the scent was coming from that direction. It was strange, but he almost didn't feel like he should call out. What if it wasn't one of his unicorn brothers, but another? He didn't want to see them first. Words escaped his lips in a rush, blurring together in his nervousness. "Whois there?
