A swish of the tail. A gentle breeze. A flick of her nose. A field of blooming, vibrant flowers playfully flickering in the wind. In fact, it looked much like an ocean of colours. It was calming, just breathing in the fresh smell of the foliage and looking around at the lonely place. But lonely was calm. Lonely meant no one was coming at her, correct? Yes. That was what it meant.

Silently, she sashayed toward the center of the foliage, allowing herself to calm down and just relish the world for what it was. Her orbs closing as she took in slow, calming breaths. It had been the longest time since she had been able to do such a thing. Though, she knew that she was incapable of forcing out the memories the seemed to haunt her. Memories of the wolves attacking her newborns. Attacking her mate... And killing him. Killing him and killing her newborns. Killing them right when she was starting to get her wits about herself. When she was starting to learn to get comfortable in the world. Though, of course, the second the wolves had slaughtered her family and she had come back in an attempt to find her mate who had told her to run she lay eyes upon the blood and destruction. And that blood and destruction merely pushed her farther into her own system. Freak out, more than before, at any noises that threatened to allow movement. Or, well, any movement that was coming toward her. In fact, as she stood there right now, the feeling of the flowers brushing up against her limbs was enough to make her tremble. And then the fact that she was trembling made her fight to stop the trembling. Stupid girl. Stop panicking at everything! There is no reason to panic! she yelled at herself in her head. You can run. But running because of flowers is quite simply idiotic. There is nothing here to hurt you! You can clearly see that!

One snort escaped her maw before she allowed her orbs to open again, glancing around the field as if to inspect it. And then, pretty satisfied with the results that her orbs had given her, she dropped her cranium down to inspect a few of the swaying flowers. They were so... So delicate... So easily snapped in two and broken. Almost like what was left with her soul. So easily trampled and ruined. But she shouldn't be that way. She should be stronger. Shouldn't she?

It was then her head snapped up the muffled sound of movement. And then, the sharp call of a neigh. Her eyes scanning until she placed her vision upon a familiar silhouette. His wings clung tightly to his body as he stayed a good enough distance from her so as to show that he was going to be providing no harm to her bodice. A gentle tilt of her cranium before a bob of hello at the sound of his voice. "These fields pale in comparison to your beauty, Lady Resplendence," he spoke and she couldn't help but to feel heat radiate into her system. "Why thank you, Sir Quilyan, though I must disagree," a tiny laugh emerged as she gave him a small grin. A tiny pause, and a short breath from her before she allowed herself to speak up again, "You seem to be doing well, no?" she questioned, her one ear perked up a little, forelock bunched on the left side to give the faint illusion that it was just hiding her other ear. It was something she was used to doing. And something that caused her to receive less looks. Though, she still knew that given the right noise she would definitely bolt from where she was standing. Why can't I just be calm? Is it too much to ask?
