There was something about him that reminded her of home. Or at least what home was meant to be. What it was originally going to be... before the wolves came in and ruined her chances at that life. Of having that family. A short sigh escaped her mouth as she dropped her head down, muscles slowly beginning to loosen the longer she stands there in the same field as he. He had helped her. He had told her no harm was to come to her. Ciro would approve of that - yet still be wary - so she would try and be calm for Ciro. And that was gently lulling her into a state of rigid calm. One she hadn't been able to reach since her mate's passing. She questioned how he was feeling, and watched him as he spoke up, "I am indeed quite well, thank you, my lady." gentle and warm tones cascading from his mouth.

He watched her for a little bit. To which she shifted a little uneasily. She could have sworn she'd heard something move from behind her, though it was difficult to tell just what it might be. And so she shuffled a few steps closer to his looming frame as he spoke up again. "I trust that the Windtossed Foothills are treating you well?" A gentle bob of her head as she glanced up to him, eyes lingering on his for a second before dropping to his wings, and then the ground. "Yes, it's quite pleasant." she responded her orbs blinking a couple times before falling shut for a few moments. She did not want to ponder old thoughts. She didn't want to fall back into that. She wanted to move forward. But. The herd was huge. The amount of other equine in it was almost overwhelming for her. That's mainly why she came out here. To wander for a bit, to grab her surroundings and try and calm down before rushing head first back into the huge pit of others. It put her on overload, and she preferred to hide away from others because of it. Most of the herd probably didn't even know she existed. But she knew they existed and it frightened her. One wasn't to hurt their own herd? Were they? But, that didn't mean that they wouldn't do so on accident. It was overwhelming. Too overwhelming. She gently shook her head at her thoughts before allowing her voice to pipe back up. "And I trust that the Wind is treating you well?" she asked, making reference to his wings and the idea of flight. Not much else. He said he had no home. At least when he had introduced himself he had none. So that saddened her. Everyone deserved a home. Even if it wasn't necessarily the one which they had envisioned. And he didn't have one. The poor boy, though she didn't look up as her eyes flashed with sorrow for him. Eyes trained upon the ground, muscles switching between loose and tense depending upon the thoughts that trampled through her brain.
