The sun illuminated Note's dusty brown coat, making him look simply magnificent as he stood up to his full height. His face was cold, emotionless as he was lost in the memories of his horrific past. It was a state you rarely see the stallion in, embracing the fact that he was who he had shaped himself to be after the many life changing decisions Note had made in his life.

Note turned to face the cowering colt, sympathy glowing in his sharp eyes. He stepped towards the colt, using the tips of his wings to spread Cera's apart, exposing the scar that lied beneath them. "That's the thing, Cera," He began, gazing at into orbs that were so similar to his own, "Your scar is nothing but a little problem. And not all about how you deal with the problem. If you look at it a different way, you're not just dealing with it, you're conquering it."

A smile leapt across Note's dark gray maw, giving Ilaria a reassuring glance. "Your scar can be looked upon as a mistake by the most arrogant of horses, but to me, it's a symbol of respect. A mere colt can live through such horrors, but I know adults who are dead because of similar accidents. That is extraordinary, Cera! You should show your scar with pride," with that, Note finished his speech. He had never spoken so much at once to a being before, let alone a foal.

Note bent his head down, gingerly touching his muzzle to Cera's little brown forehead. It really was remarkable how the colt had survived, he never could've done what Cera had as a foal. He wasn't sure if he could do it now, even with his years of experience with death.
