Nefertari
Nefertari's long legs carried her swiftly over the ground. She had not strayed far from the thicket which she rested in, along with her friend Lynx. To be honest, the lass had feelings for him that were somewhat romantic, but she couldn't comprehend the idea of him feeling anything like that for her. In fact, she could not believe anyone would feel like that for her, or find her beautiful. She was a rather modest type, not seeing her own beauty, and her innocence was nearly total, though it could not be claimed that it was complete. She was not ignorant of violence, hadn't been since the age of six months, when her mother had been killed. Her brother, she had watched die a while ago.

Moving further along from the thicket, the filly looked upwards and rustled her wings longingly, but she wouldn't leave Lynx on the ground, alone. Her darling Lynx, the one who'd found her and now stayed loyally by her side, protector and friend. Her graceful prance brought her a little farther away, but then she turned back and trotted around toward the thicket once again. She had a trail worn in well by now, due to her constant circling of their territory. She went deeper into the forest on occasion, but it worried the big buckskin when she left, she knew that, so she made it a point to stay nearby the thicket most days.

Smiling, she looked for the familiar sign of the buckskin, him and his curled horn. She loved being around him, he made her happy, though she missed her father dearly. And her brother. Her Amenhotep. Oh, how she wished he'd lived through the attack, but alas-- it was not Fate's wish to let him.

Little bird, little bird, what do you hear?

The little cremello colt straightened his legs. It had only been a few days since he had met Thayne. And man was he great. Such kindness in such a big brute. He had showed the colt nothing but love and fatherly actions. Skylark had grown quite fond of Thayne, following him around almost everywhere. Only today was he feeling a little adventurous. The child in him hardly containable. He had returned to the threshold, back where he had first met Thayne. He was hoping to find other newcomers like he had been.

Skylark bounded through the trees his small body avoiding the bark gracefully. Every bird and insect catching his every wandering attention. He walked backwards slowly watching a small bird singing in the tree. He wished he could be like the birds, and fly freely throught the air, but avast he had not wings. He sighed and turned to continue walking, only to have his movement stopped by a thump.

He fell backwards ever so slightly and looked up to see a filly standing infront of him. OH MY! I am so so so sorry. I- I didnt mean to run into you, oh dear, please forgive me he said looking at her sort of frightened. What Thayne had said to him still struck him and made the little stallion slightly scared of the unknown. The filly was pure white, and she had... wings. His eyes gazed over her wings jealously.

Nefertari
The beautiful filly stumbled back, and then smiled at the colt standing before her. "Oh! It's fine. I wasn't paying attention either. I'm Nefertari-- who're you?" Her soft, pale blue eyes blinked slowly, nothing but a sweet, gentle kindness in their depths. She hoped to make friends with the colt. All her friends were older than her, and she knew not a single colt or filly, had no one to play with, though with her size, 'playing' was not really a wise decision if the other foal was smaller than herself. "Can we be friends? I--I haven't met any foals my age, you see. And I lost my family-- I got separated from them, but I have Lynx still. He's a great stallion." She smiled hesitantly at the colt, hoping he would agree to be her friend.

If not, she could always explore the Threshold with Lynx and find new friends, perhaps. Sighing, she shifted a little, wanting to fly, or sing, anything to express herself. However, her soprano vocals hadn't been cast out in a song in a long while-- she had no idea if she'd still sound as good as she had as a yearling, and she most certainly did not wish to hurt anyone's ears. Looking down at the smaller foal, she found herself wishing again that she was not such a giant. Who would love her, or want to play with her, when she was so huge? Her father was one thing, as he was huge! Or at least, she remembered him being rather large. But... He was a draft, after all. Like her.

ooc] sorry it sucks so bad, my muse is running on empty and it's all I can do to hit the 250 minimum. D:

it has come to pass...

Time is defined in a multitude of varying ways, measured in a variety of dissimilar tools. In human years, as a mortal, she had lived twenty years, and in human terms, as a unicorn, she would be classified as only having seen two seasons. But as a unicorn, being transformed back into her rightful state of existence, technically, she had seen two centuries. If judging on a physical basis, she held newness to her ancient bones. She wondered if it was the newness of the enchantment of a new world that had brought upon her a new immortal body to dwell and abide within, a form that rightfully housed the essence of her presence. If judging based off of her mannerisms and behavior, dating the age of her bones, metaphorically speaking of course, she was old.

The alabaster mare could understand the confusion, she supposed, a little, as to why she looked so young, but acted as if she had been there since the beginning of time. But it wasn’t easy to explain, and so she found it easier to just let assumptions be just that, assumptions. If those who sought out the truth, asked, then maybe she would oblige them with an answer. But so far, no one had, and it left peacefulness inside her, not to have to explain everything.

It was a splendid day to be out and about. Letting her wandering spirit quench its thirst with exploring more of the world of Helovia. She had come to this part of Helovia, in hopes of finding Osiris, but she had learned long ago, when you look for something or someone, you wouldn’t find them. And so, she was content at just escaping the Foothills, to come back to where it had all started. Where Boltar had invited her to join him, in his homeland, in the Windtossed Foothills. She had gladly accepted, needing a place to rest more than anything. But now, she wondered, if she would have been a little bit more patient, would Osiris have offered a place of rest for her?

Unfortunately, turning back time was not something the sea fair mare was skilled in or gifted with, and so she would have to live with her decision at accepting Boltar’s invitation, at least for the time being. Until another opportunity presented itself.

It was the chatter of young voices that reached the fragile tips placed high on her crown, that drew her attention elsewhere. Curious, NADIRA redirected her route in the direction of the colt’s and filly’s vocals. The older mare was not one to live on socialism, but having company was not a crime either. She soon discovered the two young ones. Only the filly, of bloodless coloring like herself, with large wings, was massively tall, especially compared to her petite stature. And the colt was more of normal size. Concluding her detour, she smiled and faced her auds forward.

“Pardon, but I couldn’t help but hear the chatter of young voices. I am NADIRA.”

The unicorn mare let her gaze of azure glaciers travel from the filly to the colt. She wondered what she had gotten herself into.

Skylarks ears perked forward as he heard the filly's name. Nefertari.... it sounded like a queens name. He smiled and looked at her That is a lovely name! I am Skylark! But you may call me anything you might think of, but i really like my original name he said with a small chuckle. The child normally rambled aimlessly. He stepped slightly closer and reached his nose down to touch hers. A friend? Oh how he loved friends!

OH MY! he said slightly loud I Would LOVE yo be your friend Nefertari!! He whinnied happily as he shook his white mane slightly to get it out of his gaze upon his new buddy. He smiled up at her hoping she would enjoy his company as much as he was already enjoying hers.

His smile quickly faded as he leapt into the air slightly, as he turned to face another filly. She was white just like Nefertari was. Skylark backed up slightly before he heard the filly's words, which were comforting. She meant no harm obviously. Skylark bounded forward and nudged her softly. Im Skylark! He said with a small giggle.

Something about the way the other filly spoke was different. She sounded older, and not young. She sounded wise, like she had been here longer than she was letting on by her appearance. A horn sat upon her forehead. A unicorn? He wondered why she spoke the way she did, but him being young the though completely left his little brain. His heart on friendship, and not the unknown.
