All down his leg there was fire, the length of the wound distracting and painful. Blindly striking out, he somehow managed to land a blow against Maskan. Kaj didn't know where his hoof landed, and was just thankful it wasn't the injured one. His first instinct was to move away, uncaring of the next offensive attack. Being so close made it hard for Kaj to get away, collect himself, and get the pain under control. Sweat clung to his body around flanks and neck, darkening his golden canvas into a muted ochre. Crimson was apparent on his leg, and splattered in an artful array over his right wing and neck from vengeful teeth. None of it was pleasant, but the insistent throbbing of agony up his cannon and shoulder easily made the others pale in comparison. Focusing on it was not going to help him though, and though his wing ached fiercely when it made contact with Maskan's left cheek it at least seemed to stun him enough for Kaj to get in one more desperate attempt to push the other stallion away. Though it didn't connect, Kaj was more focused on getting distance between them. Every stride was a jolt of electricity, muscles twinging in protest. Leaning more weight on his left side, Kaj curled his wings inward to try and stop the throbbing he felt.

Running wasn't in his blood, despite his mother being of a lighter breed. Kaj was meant for heavy blows and brute strength, but he hoped the slight head start he had on Maskan was enough to give himself some reprieve. He was starting to very slowly wear down, the pain in his leg distracting. Sky blue irises were blown wide when the sound of hooves followed after him within moments, breath coming a little too heavy for his liking when he realized Maskan was pushing himself into pursuit. Turning to try and look at him was a mistake, for the sun was almost directly in his eyes. Wincing he tried to keep his eyes open, but it was hard with the wind still screeching. The slam against his flank was missed until the very last moment, but then the motion was unavoidable. Kaj stumbled and his leg screamed at the action. Gritting his teeth, he felt teeth graze his ass, hardly enough to do more than draw a drop or two of blood. Man, does he have a biting fetish or something? Of course he knew teeth were weapons, but he'd been bitten on the neck, wing, and ass. He was starting to think this was just a way to make Kaj ache uncomfortably rather than do any real damage. Staggering, his pace slowed against his will. With his mass, falling wasn't an option. In fact losing his balance at all wouldn't be good- if Maskan shoved him when he was off-balance then Kaj would be royally screwed. But he would soon really regret the way he'd worded that.

An embarrassing shriek escaped as Kaj felt strong legs clamp around him. WHAT THE FUCK?! The weight was substantial, and Kaj couldn't keep himself up without staggering and nearly falling. He wanted to kick so badly, shove his hind hooves into Maskan's legs, but there were multiple problems with that plan. First was that with his size, bucking and rearing didn't agree with him considering the time it took. That, and he didn't have the strength to lift himself and Maskan in order to kick. Sharp hooves dug into his sides, sure to bruise. Kaj tripped and flailed awkwardly, unable to hardly even move with Maskan pressing so much weight onto his backside. Kaj could do nearly nothing, pinned as he was, a struggling bird beneath the cat's paw. He shook himself as best he could to try and dislodge Maskan, forcing himself forward and wriggling. Long wings moved as far back as they could, ignoring the strain in his shoulders to try and smack Maskan away. They pushed the air, using the force to try and raise himself higher while also aiming for Maskan, though it was unlikely to hit considering his wings weren't made for the motion or lower target. Trying anything to get to a position where he could actually fight. It was embarrassing and the show of dominance made him both angry and flustered, wondering why he had to prove it in a way that Kaj didn't understand. Displays of dominance were normal where he came from, but he'd never experienced one like this, and it only continued to drive noises from his muzzle as he struggled. He hated feeling pinned and helpless, and fought the best he could to get Maskan off him so he could stop being so confused about these weird customs in Helovia. Was this normal?
