A sound fettered from Kaj's maw that was most unlike any mareish giggle or moan of delight that Maskan had ever known. All the same it brought the wide grin to Maskan's facade - an expression of triumph often worn when in this position. The moment would be short lived however, as Kaj was certainly no compliable bottom. It was not something Maskan was well experienced with, as he was not one to take unwilling lovers.

Kaj swelled beneath him like a mountain being born of the earth; powerful and unyielding. Gone were the supple hips of a fine lady smelling sweetly of ripeness, like a peach aloft in a tree - come instead was the sharp odor of sweat and blood, a cruel reminder to Maskan's fantasy that he rode a dog of war. He grit his teeth as he struggled to maintain his balance on the thrashing golden retriever, but trying to keep up on two legs was proving far too arduous. Maskan's strength had already been waning and now he felt it flood him almost entirely. With the sweeping of Kaj's wings towards his head, Maskan lost all desire to remain on his dog any longer.
Though the wing did not strike him, nor come very close truthfully, Maskan still felt the tender reminder of the last embrace of Kaj's wing on his cheek. Call it head shy, but Maskan slid off towards his right, tucking his nose defensively.

In the process of dismounting Maskan had enough frame of mind to forcibly shove towards Kaj, though it was less a feat of assault as defense as Maskan hoped to help get Kaj away from him or keep Kaj unbalanced while he gathered himself back on the ground. Similarly Maskan's hooves might clobber Kaj's hind legs with this movement, likely his hocks, but the blow would not be strong.
Maskan's teeth too were revealed with his gaping maw, but he delivered no bite force even if they found Kaj's skin. Maskan was more concerned with dodging that chicken wing at the time. He might leave a trail of spit however, which would surely wound Kaj's fashion sense.

Maskan intended to whirl around as soon as he was back on his feet, to direct his ass towards Kaj in case the youth had any immediate ideas of revenge. Staring down the face of a loaded gun tends to make you think twice.
At least, that was his plan.

Maskan pulled up short of his maneuver and his stride however, his head flung unexpectedly high when he'd just been cradling it in his chest moments before. The sudden slide off the gilded rump of the yellow rooster had left Maskan graceless and unkind to his injured foreleg and chest. His body hit the ground with a flop and the impact had sung all the way his foreleg, but it hadn't been a love song.

A grimace split his features into a grotesque display while his body limped in its next stride, still fighting to complete the pivot. Maskan fought to erase the image of injury from his features, and could only hope having his back towards Kaj would help shield him. It would not do well to appear weak now of all times.
Maskan could continue the fight, if needed, but he thought as much as felt, that the spar had finished. To let it end when he'd been astride the male was surely not how Kaj envisioned the finale, but it would do well for the bird to know humbleness. Hopefully he had the brains to not be enveloped in rage, but rather to learn how to avoid it happening again, by living through it this once.

Able to see most of Kaj behind him, Maskan still twisted his head over his shoulders and flicked his ears back towards his opponent. Maskan proffered a rough grin to help hide the wincing.
"You fight like that all the time, Mirage would be content to call you her Winglead." Maskan complimented, truly proud of how well Kaj had fought with him.
