| The little youth chirped happily at her father’s side, edging this way and that until she felt as though he wouldn’t mind if she left him altogether. Spindly legs swayed beneath her as she sought the company of the chocolate filly, her velveteen muzzle outstretched as she grew closer, eager to touch the downy hide of her new acquaintance. Her scent was musty like the forest and it sat thick upon her tongue as she inhaled slowly. An excited squeal burst forth from her lungs and she bucked violently afterwards hoping to gain a reaction from the older girl. If her father hadn’t been quick to reprimand her there would have been a chance that she would have led the filly into a headlong chase between the tress in a merciless game of tag. But alas, Thor was there pressing rounded teeth into her tangled threads to remind her of who exactly was in charge of her decisions. Her murmurs of protest were enough to warrant another swift nip from her father before she finally fell quiet beside him. She was eager to head off into the trees and romp through their tall shadows but it wasn’t long before her ambitions were abandoned in favor of whimpering softly as two more mares emerged from the tree line. Her tiny legs started quaking in all of the excitement and for once she didn’t test her father’s limits in fear of finding swifter consequences elsewhere. Her eyes were then affixed once more to the other child, questioning and pleading for her to come closer. Whatever drove her incentives was something not entirely novel due to her lack of urgency. She was but a child… and yet, it seemed that she was the only one who stood to judge one’s character without prior influences. Everyone was worthy in her eyes until proven otherwise.
