Murdock felt his rear hooves connect with LOCKET’S fleshy rump as the Arab turned his hip in to take the blow. It was a clever move on the chestnut’s part, and Murdock grit his teeth in frustration as he missed his mark. The Unicorn was quite a bit smaller than him, and as such his lighter build was aiding him in dodging attacks. Turning back toward LOCKET as the stallion slid to a halt, he blinked against the light of the sun as its golden rays struck his face. His opponent had set his sights on Ophelia now, with revenge in his eyes. The chestnut lunged out with his teeth to catch the white mare on the neck, kicking out at her chin as he passed. Murdock’s body tensed, prepared to come to the aid of his leader if she should require it.

As the small stallion twisted back around toward him, finished with Ophelia, Murdock steeled himself for his opponent’s next attack. His muscles tensed as LOCKET ran toward him, weight shifting back onto his hindquarters as the Arab slid to a halt and rose in a low rear. Cloven hooves struck out for his right shoulder and Murdock reared up on his hind legs, striking out at the Arab’s chest in a counter-attack. Given his advantage in height, LOCKET’S hoof connected with his right elbow instead and Murdock grunted from the sharp pain as he leaned away to the left. His wings were spread for balance as he twisted away from the chestnut, emerald eyes falling upon Ophelia as she rushed toward LOCKET with her head lowered.

He threw his weight to the left, forelegs extended as he jumped away from his adversary. Hopefully, Ophelia would manage to keep LOCKET busy and give him some time to prepare for another attack. Turning toward the south, his hind legs pushed off the moist soil as he lunged into a canter and circled the Arab to face his left side. Damp grass whispered against his sides as he turned toward his opponent, the cool wind sweeping across his sweat-dampened body. Spreading his wings as he galloped forward, he pushed off into the air as he approached the Arab. Wings tilted upward to slow his airspeed as he swung his hindquarters forward, hind legs coming down toward LOCKET’S back in an attempt to strike him in the center of his spine.

Murdock’s weight carried him forward as gravity pulled him back toward the earth, his hooves digging into the soft soil on LOCKET’S right side as his feet connected with the ground. His elbow ached in protest as his weight was thrown forward, wings still spread to maintain his balance. He leaned onto his forehand as he struck out with his hind legs for LOCKET’S right knee, attempting to land a debilitating blow to the sensitive joint. His heart hammered in his chest as he tucked his wings into his sides, cantering forward a few paces before turning back around to face the chaos of battle. Their enemies had begun to fall as victory came into sight, excitement and noise clouding his mind as he shifted his weight off his right foreleg.

(Summary: Murdock rears up onto his hind legs as Locket strikes out at his shoulder, taking the blow on his right elbow and aiming to hit Locket in the chest with a counter-attack. He jumps to the left as Ophelia rushes toward Locket, circling around him to come up on his left side. Murdock lifts off into the air as he jumps toward Locket, aiming his hind hooves to come down in the center of his spine. As he lands back onto the ground, he aims a kick for Locket's right knee.)
