If nothing else, Aryel was nimble. As she threw her body to the left - seemingly into his bite - Gaucho wondered if she wasn't trying to use his previous tactic against him, and was trying to hit him the nose. Although her slender body wouldn't be able to do as much damage as his, it would definitely hurt, due to the pain the bone through his nose would cause. As his teeth closed upon nothing, the brute was puzzled, but chalked his missed-aim up to a miscalculation of their sizes. As his hoof connected however, the brute squealed an almost child-like taunt of Got you!, as he veered away with a proud grin.

As with any body type, there are pro's and con's. The pro's of being such a big fella like Gaucho, was that he could literally throw his weight around, as Aryel had seen. His kicks rarely left light bruising, and a ram from his antlers could leave one bleeding, as Aryel had also seen. One of the many con's, was that it was almost impossible to aim an attack at Gaucho, and not hit at least some part of him. He was simply too big to miss. So as Aryel nimbly darted behind him, like a smear of blue that had dislodged itself from the sky, hellbent on following him, Gaucho knew he would soon feel her hooves on his ass.

Gaucho is a simple creature - we all know that - however simple does not imply that he doesn't learn. In his last 10 or so spars, Gaucho had learned a thing or two about how to make his large-self more evasive, and while Aryel was certainly one of the fastest of his opponents, he believed his experience would still best her. She was fast, and the slender proportions of her frame cut through the air far more aerodynamically than his large body did. If they were angled straight towards the ground, he might have a chance, given that his weight would pull him down faster than hers would, but they were not. Seeing her wings pin to her sides, Gaucho assumed she meant to bridge the distance between them and make her move. A kick from this position, would have little force given he would have nothing to steady himself against, and yet the speed with which she would be flying towards his dinner-plate sized hooves could be deadly. He had already reminded himself to be wary of injuring her once, and did not need to be reminded again. With a grunt, Gaucho beat his wings hard against the air, using his strength to overcome the air-resistance and propel him forward. He also snapped his luxuriously long tail up and behind him, hoping that should she catch some of that hair in her mouth, or around her eyes/face, her attack might be put-off, slightly. Even with these two defensive measures, the pain in his wing joint from her previous bite stifled the muscle enough, that he was unable to pull away completely. With a primitive grunt, Gaucho felt her hooves graze down the back of his thighs, painfully stinging his large muscles.

Spying her arching away from him, the bay snorted, assuming that was her way of ending the spar. Making bicycle-riding motions in the air, Gaucho tried to stretch out his stinging leg muscles as he flew down to meet her. Landing on the dusty plateau, Gaucho tossed his head towards her. "Same fight" he observed, thinking about how similar their last spar had been - only that time, it had been Aryel who had swung her ass in his face. With a frown, he moved towards her, extending his bone-pierced nose towards her, as if he meant to nuzzle her. Inhaling a few times deeply, he narrowed his steely gaze, revealing that he was actually inspecting her nose for wounds, as he recalled striking it twice during their spar. Satisfied, he took a step back, frowning, but nodding at the same time; not bad.
