She held the board still to the best of her abilities while the stranded creature made its way up. Meanwhile, thoughts spun through her head. What if it would not work at all? Maybe the sand would be too heavy and hold back the board being pushed. What if... No, just try and see. If problem came, they would have to re-think and try again. Arathea nodded when the creature was up on the board and made her way to the other side so the board was between her and the sea, snapping at some gulls in the process.
Carefully, she placed one paw over the creature to better help holding it on the board, hoping it would not get startled by the though. The other hand, she placed on the driftwood's edge and then put her chest and weight behind it, giving it a hard shove. The board moved a bit across the sand, and Thea pushed again. It moved a bit more. Then it stopped at the next push. The wolf pulled her ears back in a pondering manner and moved around the board, noted that sand had piled up at the edge.
With a sniff close to a snort, she dug the pile of sand away, moved around and began to push the board again. Should the creature slid off at any point, Arathea would move the board around for it to crawl up again. So she pushed, moved away wet sand and pushed again. Slowly but steadily, the board moved across the sand until the waves started to beat against it.
Arathea grunted, panting slightly now as she shoved the board against the waves that seemed to be wanting to push the board back on land. "Driftwood was taken ashore and can stay, but you have someone who needs to go back." She muttered and grunted in a low voice, more to the sea than anyone else as she gave the driftwood board one final push and the next wave rolling in lifted it from the sand and took it with it out a bit. The next wave would take it out more, and so on and so forth.
