If he had known her thoughts, Aurelius wouldn’t exactly have been offended. He wished for Snö that she would grow up and be long-legged and strong like her parents, for the kind of grief he had gotten for being short wasn’t something he would want for anyone. Aury had learned to embrace the obstacles that life put in his way, and unlike many he did not have a complex about being short. His skin had grown thick, and if he was teased today, he’d only take it with a gentle smile. His height had been part of what defined his personality, who he was and his outlook on life; the only time he really wished he was taller was when around ladies. But that is a whole different story.

He could not help by chuckle when the filly spoke again, seeing the grimace on Mau’s face was priceless. He was certain she would see a true mountain goat with her own eyes. Eyes returned her curious gaze with a good-natured one of his own, smiling and letting Mauja answer the question about size with words well chosen. He did not say anything for he agreed with everything that had been said, so he merely nodded in silent applause. Snö struck him as an eager, curious young lady, and he was certain she could bring some much needed life and good spirit into The Edge. It would be amusing to have her around. Hopefully, one day it would be his own offspring prancing around, but he pushed the thought aside.

He was mildly confused at what the filly said next, and as he looked at Mauja for an explanation, Aury frowned slightly. So there was a conflict in the pale king’s love life? He wouldn’t have guessed it, but then again, those sorts of things are hard to control. The dwarven steed followed up next to Mauja without problems, limited strides falling at a slightly rapider pace than Mauja’s long ones. So, Psyche is the child’s mother? He nodded understandingly to Mauja, not wanting to dig into something that he should probably stay out of. "Hopefully she will join us soon, so the whole family can be together," he said calmly, closing the subject. "I think you will be happy with living in The Edge, Snö. I’m sure everyone will be excited to see you, he spoke to the filly, smiling.
