Paladin moved through the forest easily now that he had regained his strength. The limp in his hip was all but gone except during the winter months, but now, in the heat of the summer, he felt wonderful. Isilme and his Tides still hung heavily on his heart, but he found that moving around in the threshold helped ease that pain. Just a little.

The stallion spied a similarly colored figure in the distance and smiled, knowing that it must be his beautiful, kind daughter, Ktulu. He wondered why she was here without her sister, but he supposed they were old enough to make their own decisions. Now that Paladin was well, he would have to seek out Ktulu and offer once more to train her in the art of battle, teach her how to use her natural abilities to her advantage.

A silver figure was also in the distance, and he furrowed his brows, trotting into the clearing. Val? The stallion stopped in his tracks, crimson eyes wide and shocked. He remembered enjoying the mare's company like a friend, but once, before Soleil had become his queen, they had been... together. How did she? She had left even Isilme so long ago... Not, not that he was unhappy that she was here? "Ah... Hello," he grunted in shock.
