Cormac has congenital analgesia, which is the lack of any pain perception.
Essentially, he would never learn not to get burned because it wouldn't physically hurt. People who manage to make it to adulthood with congenital analgesia often are missing fingers or have burned hands because of similar problems.

I PASS this.
It is well-written, and while I didn't piece it together to be Cormac (I'm not very familiar with the character), I did get the references about the color, personality and the guidance down, though I didn't make the connection to a compass as I didn't know he had it. xD
With the explanation it all makes perfect sense, well-written, consistent and definitely relating to the character in question. :)

FAIL -- although I really like the explanation of this clue, I think at face value it doesn't direct that way enough for it to be solveable, as I don't think many people know that without doing some research and there's not enough in the clue to direct them that way. However it was neat.

PASS -- although this is a bit weak compared to the other clues, it's fairly easy to understand the point of the clue and apply it to characters that would have fit the others, so I pass this because it is solveable.

PASS -- stars and finding your way were a big signal to me about navigation and made me think of compass, sea-themed characters or related magic instantly.
