Blazing Heart
The winged equine arrived at the beach only a couple hours before sunrise. The moon and stars reflections were disappearing on the rippling surface of the ocean. A strong breeze whispered across the sandy open land, whipping the mare's mane and tail around her bold frame. She gazed silently at the steady waves. Time seemed to come to a pause. Everything was completely peaceful. The salty water splashing onto shore, the wind humming a sweet melody. Blazing Heart felt calmness wash over her. Her tense muscles soon melt away, her feathered appendages release from against her trunk and spread open into the cool ocean air. She breathed in deeply, feeling her lunges fill with crispy oxygen before exhaling slowly. Aww the power of the beach, it was an amazing thing. The mare gave one last look behind her, checking to make sure she still was alone. Suddenly she exploded, her first stride taking her into a gallop. She raced against the waters edge, throwing water and mud into the sky. She let out a playful squeal of delight. She soon found herself bucking around like a young filly full of piss and vinegar. After what seemed like hours she finally ran off her wild hair. Her icy orbs darted around her surroundings. She felt embarrassment flow over her. Sure, this was Blazing Heart first time at a beach but there was no reason for acting like a fool. She quickly tightened her wings back into place and ambled on. The sun was starting to appear in the horizon, casting orange and purple shades over head. She came to a halt in front of some dried up seaweed. Got try it sometime thought the mare. Leaning forward she snatched a mouthful of the nasty looking vegetation. Hmm not to bad She swallowed the salty ocean grass and was soon appalled. The after taste was bad enough to make her vomit. Shaking her head, she moved on from her not to tasty meal. She study every inch of the land as she passed it. She recently joined a group called The Pirates who made their home here, so this place now too was her home. A sly grinned spread over her pinkish mug. This new beginning of hers was gonna be quite interesting. |
