Time was moving a little faster than Faelene wanted, because while she looked forward to her daughter growing into a lady it would come too soon. Already, she had mastered many phrases, and simple understandings of their world. It made her proud to have a child who wasn't self absorbed, and could see the wonder about. In truth the first time mother was having a hard time balancing what was appropriate for Sielu to know. They had not gotten to hard questions, but they lingered.
Why can't I speak like the rest? The worst on the list, but there were other thing:life, death,pain, and what made them different from the other species she would likely encounter at some point in her life. While she never wanted to tear her from the world, raise her in a bubble, she did want to shield her from what she could. It was natural to protect her from harm of any kind. But, how much braver her little heart grew, and she would find her going much further. Faelene knew she stayed close, she did know what was too far, but it did not make her worry any less. Sielu should meet others, and Faelene had yet to see her gift impacting negatively, but that was the day she feared the most. If someone would be alarmed and disgusted by the gentle words that filled their mind from a lavender filly with mismatched eyes.
Red tail brushed against her hocks while her mouth clipped at the tundra grass. It was a pleasantly, warm day and they were in one of their usual spots merely enjoying being in the sun after damp, cold weather. She tried not to let things plague her thoughts, knowing how poisonous, contaminating negative things could be. It was rough, and there was no one here she wanted to talk to about it. Tolio had left without another good bye, and she had yet to fully give another enough of her own faith. Sielu was much too little to share burdens that shouldn't be hers.
