Leliel's retreat was stopped rather unceremoniously when his rear end collided with the chest of someone behind him. His head turned just enough for him to look behind and catch a glimpse of who it was that had stopped him. He only saw a flash of white and brown before his vision was suddenly obscured by a bird flapping and screeching in his face. His ears tilted back against his head and he snorted at the bird and shook his head to try and make it go away.

In the end the mare that had foiled his escape called the bird off and moved to stand beside him. He looked at her then back at his brother and the cryptic mare whom he was speaking to. His eyes widened a fraction when the mare suddenly disappeared. The stallion's ears rotated on top of his head as he tried to pick up the sounds of hoof falls, but he could hear very little above the sound of his brother's voice.

That was until a voice was whispering in his ear.

Leliel's body stiffened as he listened to the voice, thinking himself crazy at first, but he was curious. Deep forest? Seek the gold. There was no mistaking that it was the cryptic mare speaking into his ear. As much as she had aggravated him she had him wondering now and the Deep Forest didn't sound like a place his brother would be willing to venture. He might get a spot on that pretty white coat of his.

The black and blue stallion waited until his brother was occupied with the splashed mare once more before he slunk back into the shadows. He turned to the south and his journey to the deep forest began.
