Marius listened to the responses given by each side, curiosity for what they would say keeping his ears perked up. So many responses in such little time, they were all good points but some made his ears lay back flat. Magic that could harm? Surely no one actually harmed others with magic unless it was for the better in the end. That would make the most sense after all. With a nod of his head he turned back to paying attention.
Mirage's theatrical transformation had him temporarily stunned and he watched in shock. It was perhaps one of the most amazing things he had seen thus far in his five years of life. Could all horses with magic do that? Perhaps, he wouldn't know, but it would be awfully conveniant. Particularly for equines, because the wings would help them get places faster. It was perhaps one of the main reasons he envied pegasai. Yet he pushed that to the side as Mirage spoke, asking one in particular about another of their herd. One called Ink.
Ears perking to listen, he turned and his eye caught the shape of someone vaguely familiar. Instantly his attention turned to that being, and he picked his way through the herd members carefully to avoid being in anyone's way for too long. Surely it couldn't actually be his mother after he had spent this long searching and had finally let it go. He paused for a moment, contemplating his actions. He could go to the mare, speak to her. If it wasn't his mother, he could apologize and move on. If it was, well... all the better!
He grinned and moved forward again, though he kept one ear cocked to the side to listen for anything else the others might say. After all, the conversation was interesting to say the least.
