Leo

One Step Closer

The mighty tobiano brute flew over unfamiliar land looking for a new resting place with all the thing he needed food, water, shelter if needed. He shivered slightly as the cold wind bit at his brown and white wings. His bi-colored orbs found a weird circle of pine trees he pricked his harks and floated down and landed with a crunch as the icy ground gave to his massive hooves.

"What an odd place" he said in a rich pondering baritone, he sighed blowing frozen vapor from his nostrils he lifted his great crown and looked up at the grey sky then around himself seeking any other presence. He sighed and tossed his black mane making his forelock vale his vision slightly. He pawed at the ground slightly in boredom.

Leo walked slowly out of the circle and out into the open where the sun shone brightly, he walked up a hill and spreading out is mighty wings sunning him self finally getting warm. His chocolate eyes wondered the horizon and the wind blew his mane and tail like black banners they flew behind him. He wished he had some company just to talk or a home to be warm and comfortable in. He sighed sadly and dropped his crown to the snow his soft nose almost touching it.

Suddenly a sound of muffled hoof beats made his brown tipped harks perk and his head to snap up. Who was it? Are they taking him home or just come to chat? He smiled to him self as his heart beat sped up with excitement like he was running as fast a he could or fly witch ever way you wanted to put it.

[Welcome to Helovia! Just a quick note: We currently have a site-wide plot going on, where the Gods have left Helovia, taking with them all light and all magic! So basically, the lands are covered in darkness, with weird tree-lamps all around, to light the way. ^^]

Out of the thick blackness of the sky, where even the weird greenish-blue light cast by the odd lamp-trees could not penetrate, came an enormous, and eerie sight. Gaucho was a massive, muscular hanovarian, covered in a dark pelt splattered with primitive symbols and markings. Upon his brow, were a pair of large antlers, with a dream catcher woven in between, However that was not the only decoration adorning his impressive rack: there was also a snake. Mara, his companion, lay nestled tightly against his thick skull, pulling as much warmth as she could to heat her reptilian body in the midst of Frostfall. Piercing the brute's nose was a bone, and around his strapping check, was a leather band, with spikes of bone protruding from it. He appeared wholly a creature who had crawled only just, from the proverbial swamps of life, having never evolved into a social creature. His stormy gaze relied on Mara's sleek vision to guide him through the black skies, to where this new comer had entered the Threshold.

The ground lurched beneath him, as his hooves forcefully met the snow and hardened earth. Black wings folded neatly to his flanks, as his strides continued along the ground, never breaking his momentum. He could both scent and hear the stallion ahead, and soon was able to see him, outlined rather eerily by the lamp-trees. Sliding to a stop, the bay tossed his antlered head impatiently, already turning on his haunches as if to head back from where he came. "Light gone." He advised in a rather rich voice, and yet the words sounded awkward coming from his lips, as if he were not used to speaking (which indeed, he was not). "I Gaucho, warrior of Dragon's Throat. Throat good and warm. You come." This offering of information seemed entirely formal, and it was as if Gaucho was merely reciting something he was taught to say. Snapping his luxuriously long black tail against his hocks, he spread his wings, motioning his pierced muzzle towards a massive fire burning high atop a cliff, in the distance.

He didn't seem to be suggesting that this newcomer follow him, but instead, demanding it. And yet, if perhaps Sohalia or My-dus were around, they might have understood the caring behind this gesture - for what you must understood, is that this is the best Gaucho can do. He has never learned to speak very well, and serves the Throat by constantly patrolling and protecting its boarders. In the wake of the mysterious blackness, he was told to collect any and all who enter the threshold and bring them to safety: He would see to it that he followed that order.

"Now"

One Step Closer

Leo could only make out the outline of the new equine coming towards him as he stood by the odd tree light casting a eerie casting as shadow on the antlered stallion. Leos brown tipped harks and bi-colored orbs locked on to him as he tossed his head and turned the way he had come "Light gone" he said awkwardly the tobiano paint cocked his head apparently the other stallion didn't talk regularly his harks pricked again as the antlered stallion,Gaucho, spoke again,
"I Gaucho, warrior of Dragon's Throat. Throat good and warm. You come .Now" Leo nodded as walked towards him he chuckled at his orders he didn't mind it he wanted to go somewhere warm "By the way good sir, Im Leo" he said softly in his rich baritone

Leo sighed and looked up at the mountain with a visible flame on it he smiled and spread his large wings and waited for Gaucho to take off. He swished his long black tail feeling it brush his pasterns the only sound in the dark eerie surroundings. He tossed his long black mane making his forelock to part in the middle slightly.

"So this Dragons Throat.. Tell me about it, from what you told me its good and warm." He began softly his tone full of wonder. He looked the stallion over he had impressive antlers with a dream catcher hanging in the middle of them, he seemed like a determined brute Leo automatically liked him, he pawed at the frozen ground absentmindedly. Would he be accepted or even liked? Would he find his mate and have foals? Leo really wanted to start a family for some reason he could not explain.

Gaucho winced slightly, as he was addressed as good sir. It was almost as if large words, or flowery sentences were the only thing that could distort his primitive and fierce expression into one of pain, or dislike. Never the less, he remained steadfast, his dark gaze watching the new comers lips, as if that would help him to comprehend his rich assortment of words better. "Lee-oh" He repeated; glad that if nothing else, this fanciful stallion had an easy to pronounce name. Not like An-droh-mee-dah.

With a snort and an approving nod at the newcomers readiness to move towards the Throat, Gaucho spread his large black wings as well, gaze peering into the inky blackness. "We fly low" He advised, motioning towards the glowing branches of the trees.

Moving with an uncanny grace for a creature so big, and barbaric looking, Gaucho easily took to the skies, not reaching full cruising speed until he was sure that his company was with him. His dark ears swiveled to catch the question ask of him, and a look of confusion crossed the brutes face. "Throat is good and warm." He repeated, looking uncertain as to what more this stranger Lee-oh could want to know. "Throat have...Kri, and An-droh-mee-dah and My-dus...?"

His dark head shook, as slowly the warmth of the ever-burning fire quickly reached their altitude. With a grunt, clearly in no more mood for questions, Gaucho began their descent into Leo's new home: The Dragon's Throat.
