As she whipped around, the fae's voice drifting into her audits, the yearling looked scared for a split second before she changed her expression to fierce, ready to attack. And then her expression softened, and she smiled slightly. Smiling back, the fae bowed her head gently, a greeting.
The yearling stood there for a moment, probably thinking. The fae stood, smile just beginning to fade. She herself let her mind wander, her eyes wander, gazing towards the darkened sky ever so subtly. She looked back at the yearling just as she said she wasn't used to the dark. Nodding her head, the fae spoke in response. "You get used to it fairly quickly. At least there's a moon and stars now. Not long ago, the sky was just a blank canvas above our heads. That was awful." She looked at the yearling, smiling a little.
The yearling introduced herself as Sia, and she said she had just arrived to the Basin. "Well, Sia, welcome to the Aurora Basin! Home of the Unicorns!" She tried to act dramatic in the last sentence, lowering her voice slightly and holding out 'Unicorns'. She smiled and giggled a little, looking at Sia. “So… what’s there to do for fun around here?”
Turning to Sia, the fae didn't know what to say. She hadn't done a lot of 'fun' things in the Basin. "Well... fun things... um... the ground is covered in lots of ice in a few places, and it's fun to slide across them. And then there's the Hot Springs, it's really nice if you need to calm down, or just relax. And then there's the caves. There's quite a few of them, and I like to explore them. One of them holds a special mirror that belongs to the Haruspex." Looking at Sia, she frowned a little. "I haven't really done anything fun... and what I've done isn't much fun..." Looking at her cloven hooves, the fae sighed. She couldn't think of many fun things in the Basin.
"Speech."
